Cleaning the scanner section is very dangerous do to the fact that if you remove the wrong screws for the Charged Couple Device (CCD) the black device on the right side you can screw up the images!!!!. as for the mirrors on the left yes you can clean them use really clean paper or light cloth. to remove the scanner glass requires the top front and right side cover removed. Gentle pull out the scanner section. DO NOT PUT YOUR Fingers on the Lamp!!!! Oils from you hand can mess with it exposure abilities when it comes on to see the original. Watch the cables DO NOT WANT them to unwind. Watch out that unfinished aluminum is SHARP will slice up your hands.
