Front loader wont agitate or spin, but it fills with water and pumps water out

check for the pump belt broken or off,clogged pump or sock or small item clogging the tub outlet to pump hose. the pump pulley may have become loose on the shaft also

check your lid switch. if your lid swith is bad, it will fill and agitate, but will not pump or spin. therefore it will not go into rinse cycle without being able to pump out water. some lid swithes control the agitation also (usually frigidaire and older maytags), but i doubt yours does. you can check the lid switch for continuity while opening and closing the lid with a meter

top loader ??? or front loader??? if top loader you have broken your lid switch, will fill, agitate, but when it comes to drain/spin for safety reasons if the unit doent recognize the lid closed it will not advance...if yo have a front loader then i would suspect that something has gotten into the pump assy and preventing drainiing of water therefore will not spin

Assuming you have a top loader, because a front loader does not have an agitator, the spindle that holds the agitator securely in place has worn down to the poing that it won't turn. They are usually made of rubber and has grooves in it and fits into a the agitator. The grooves are worn out. Replace them from an appliance store and you should be in good shape.

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.

ibunton. 10 loads, what some bad luck. Your model is a direct drive, so there are no belts. From your description it almost sounds like your drain pump is jammed causing the motor to kick on overload. Remove the front panel by pushing on the two clips just below the top on each end about 2 inches in. The panel will pull off. The pump sits right in front. There are two clips that hold the pump on. Remove the clips and pull the pump off. Now put the timer to the spin position and start it, see if the motor turns. If so, your pump is probabley jammed with something. If it is the pump the part number is 3363394. Easy fix, 2 clamps, 2 clips. If the pump is ok, then we'll have to dig in deeper. The attachment shows a top loader, but the pump, motor and trans are the same as your stacked unit. Catriver...post back
