102 stc i can`t use the phone. light for the phone on router is red this happened after reseting the router

Did you change the password on the router? Did you WPS to connect the phone to the router? If so, use WPS again.. that's where you press the WPS button on the router and tell the phone to connect via WPS at about the same time.

Can a WiFi repeater with WPS connect to a Wireless router without WPS ? I can't seem to get them to connect to each other via WiFi

WPS only works with client Wi-Fi devices that have a WPS button.
Your router does not have it, so it does not work.

may be this help you ?
2. Select a radio button.
• Push and Connect (recommended). Either click the button or press the WPS
button on the rear panel of the Internet adapter.
• PIN Number. Select the radio button and a PIN displays.
The Internet adapter tries to join the wireless network for 2 minutes if you are using Push
'N' Connect, or 4 minutes if you are using a PIN.
3. Go to the router.
• If you are using Push 'N' Connect, press the router's WPS button.
• If you are using a PIN, log in to the router and type the PIN from your Internet adapter
in its WPS screen.
4. Go back to the computer that is connected to the Internet adapter, and make sure that you
are connected to the wireless network.
• When WPS is running, the WLAN LED blinks, alternating between green and amber.
• If the computer does not to connect with WPS, the WLAN LED is solid red for 5
seconds.
• If the computer does connect using WPS, the WLAN LED is solid green for 5 seconds
Then the WLAN LED returns to indicating a wireless signal.

Wps light is out and emails not coming

Is there a way to get the light to turn off, and the WPS to be disabled by actually just pressing the button in some manner I am not doing?

If this is the normal functioning of the router, does Netgear plan on providing a way to just flat out disable WPS in a future firmware upgrade?

This router blows away my previous Linksys wrt54gl and Asus routers. I would like to keep it, but with the constant traffic which I have near me, I really need some way to turn the WPS off and keep it off.

Wps button

The front of your Actiontec modem has a button and light for Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). If that button was pressed or the WPS process was started, that button may light up or blink.

Where is the was button

I'm guessing you mean the WPS button - "Wireless Protected Setup" - As far as I can see from the User Guide this router doesn't have an actual WPS Button - You need to log onto its admin web interface and browse to the WPS setup page - Press the WPS button on your client device (laptop, printer, etc) then Click the WPS button in the router's web interface and let them talk to each other to establish a secure connection - The WPS light on the Front Panel should then light up when connected - You can find a user guide at the following url:

There is a green light on on top and after i push the wps button a red light blinks for a while and then stays on any ideas the laptop that has been used with this router is not getting a connection now...

Hello,

WPS means Wi-fi Protected Setup its a kind of wireless security for the router. There are two methods of activating it either by push button(Which you tried) and other is manual for that you can log into the Router setup page using "Http://192.168.2.1" in the Internet explorer and enter the pin code printed under the router. You should click on "Wi-fi protected setup" towards the left side of the page and leave the password field blank and click submit and enter the code and click on "Start" or Apply changes. The reason why it didnt work through the button is probably because your laptop might not be in range or switched off. It has a utility installed on your laptop which recognizes the connection and let it protect using WPS.

Hope it helps. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance or information.

My iphone 3gs cannot connect to wifi network at home. i am using linksys wrt100 wireless router.

A wireless client has to support WPS ( wi-fi protected service) function in order to use to add the client to your WPS enabled Wireless Router. check the iphone user manual of your wireless client to see whether it supports the WPS function. If your wireless client does not support the WPS function, you have to configure your wireless client manually so it has the same SSID and wireless security settings, you could also go into the advanced wireless settings and enable WPS ( push and connect ) if your router has this option this is sort of specifically for things like mobile/cellular phones and ipods...hope this helps please vote thanks
