Are you referring to the platen roller? The platen roller is the cylinder that's underneath the printhead which pulls the labels from the roll/box and then pushes it at a certain speed so that the printhead prints onto the label. The platen roller is usually coated in rubber and you can check if the platen roller has some eroded or cut sections.
Unfortunately, the platen roller is a consumable item, you'll need to replace the platen roller. Take a look at our blog for more information about the platen roller.
Check the bar codes under the ribbon spools as they can become damaged, it's these barcodes that the printer uses to work out the ribbon life, also clean the barcode sensors under the spools that read the bar codes.
The printer of the number under the barcode is an option when you define the barcode. check in your programing manual.
Concerning the size of the barcode 128 . This is determined by:
- Print head resolution in your case each bar is 0.125mm thick
- The other bars are a multiple of this thin bar. This is the only constraint
First of all change the escape caracters used to define the tpcl commands. (2) parameter code auto to {|} Substitute in your code ESC ={ Lf = | and Nul =] The printer will ignore the other control caracters
This is defendant on the program you use to print labels with. The printer responds to either a print job sent to the driver (like a standard windows printer). Or you can send an EPL program to the printer in order to use internal barcode generating features of the printer. The dimensions of the barcode are controlled via the EPL script. See the EPL programming guide avaialble on Zebra's website for more info.
This is a setting issue of your barcode scanner, the only way to solved the issue is to find the manual and look for the settings that are most likely what you need to display and send data.
