Can't change the "workgroup" or router name on my belkin N600 DB WIRELESS NETWORK ROUTER

Download the Chromecast App to your phone or tablet. Open the app, search for your Chromecast device and set the device up by telling it your router SSID (name) and password.
I believe you can do it with a PC by going to the Chromecast website.

Prolly because out the box that router uses AES encryption. You can drop it down to say 64bit from the AES 256bit and most cell phones B network cards will understand 64bit. You will need to basically change the routers security and youtube has a ton videos show you how.

You don't need the CD to setup the router. I made a video showing how I did it to my F9K1003V1.

It just clears any custom settings, and the laptop IP may still be cached (in memory).


From the laptop go to Start > Search (Run in XP) and type cmd ENTER. In the command prompt type ipconfig /release ENTER. Then type ipconfig /renew ENTER. This just refreshes your IP. Test it. Remember custom network and password are gone.
There is a paper tab underneath the unit with the default wireless name and password.
Use a network cable computer to access web interface. 192.168.2.1 to see that information as well. No user or password for the web page.

press red reset button in back for 2 minutes.

Call your router's technical engineering support and ask assistance to connect ps3 on their router's wireless connection,., their engineers will update the setting of the router to pair the setting of your ps3,. to connect wirelessly,,.

Underneath your router you can see your SSID which is your network name , next to that is your password,, or security key ,. when you view your network on the wifi click on it then click connect,., it will ask for a password then type in your passwordclick ok,. the try to go online,,n on your ipad,.

WIRELESS SECURITY ISSUES

Step 1 : Connect Router - Computer ( Wired)

Step 2 : Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3 : On the left under wireless click wi - fi protected setup

Step 4 : Leave the password blank and click on submit

Step 5 : Disable it and Click on apply changes

Step 6 : On the left under wireless click Security

Step 7 : Enable 64 Bit WEP

Step 8 : Type a 10 digit number on the key 1 ( 2 in each box )

Step 9 : Click apply changes

Step 10 : on the left under wireless click channel and SSID

Step 11 :Change the Wireless channel to 6

Step 12 : Change the SSID to a different name ( no Spaces )

Step 13 : Click apply changes

Step 14 : Now Scan and connect to this network ( Wireless )
