Panasonic cd stereo system error

Cannot play a single CD I hear the CD get taken after door is closed but then a Error comes up on the digital display screen. What do I need to take care of this problem. I do not want to have to purchase a new stereo system I like my model SA-CH94M even though it is an old timer now.

It sounds as though the eye that reads the cd's has stopped working, unfortunately due to its age you maybe out of luck, try local repair people in your area or search further a field to specialist repair persons....

I think that this maybe futile, but it's always worth asking for advice from local repair person....

I hope this helps.....

CD changer will not play reads "player error" .

Most new car-stereo's don't have an "oldschool" CD-drive, but really a CD-ROM drive; meaning that they won't (properly) read and/or play copy-protected CDs.

Most CD protections are specially designed not to work in CD-ROM drives to prevent copying. As a side-effect most of those protected CDs won't work in car-stereo's.

Try a CD without copy-protection (like an homemade audio CD using burning software on your computer) and see it that works ?

In case that doesn't work either, your car's CD-drive is probably broken ...

Problem with JVC stereo shelf system

It could be many things but if you put the disc in and you can hear the noise it makes while its scanning the disc then its probably the laser is mis-aligned. If you cannot hear any noise at all and it comes up with error after a while then it could be the entire laser unit needs replacing. Good luck.

Call Panasonic and see if you are under warranty. From dg9:common f15 errors are caused by the cd players lid not being closed, you need to see if the protruding plastics inside your cd player pushes the closed lid detection properly
