Turning off My G1 turns itself off randomly, and the only way to revive it is to remove the battery and replace it.

If you registered it on line e mail log on and tell them about the problem

I would start by removing the batteries from the remote to be sure that isn't turning it on, if that isn't the issue there may be an issue with the main board and it needs replacing.

Im very sorry to hear that, please follow these simple steps for you to be able to isolate the exact problem.


1. Removed the battery.
2. Connect the laptop directly to the power outlet without using the battery just for the meantime.
3. Turn on the laptop. If the laptop is able to power on, that means that the AC adapter is working fine as well as the DC port. If the laptop is not able to turn on, it maybe the AC adapter itself or the DC port.
4. Try to use another AC adapter if possible, make sure that that AC adapter is working fine. If the laptop is still not turning on, the problem is with the DC port itself. In that case, you will need to replaced the Motherboard itself.

I believe this could be a battery,well we have the same phone and all process you take note sounds like it was my problem before.

Why is this things happening?

Battery can be easily damage due to improper usage like charging the phone while calling,listening to music,browsing etc. two current supply is entering your phone simultaneously. One is coming from the battery powered and the other is coming on the dc charger.the result, it will make your battery deform.

Just replace it a new one and for sure it will be fine again.But please avoid or minimized using your phone while on charge.To be able to preserve your battery life for long time usage.

This could happen when your internal memory gets too full. Try deleting some internal memory by uninstalling some apps, or do a factory reset from the system settings.

remove battery then reinsert. Don't turn ON and plug in charger. It may take up to 30 min for the battery to revive.

I feel your pain. My g1 droped, the screen cracked, now 3 weeks later my screen turns black. Not even turning it off or removing the battery for hours changes this. However, i found if you wiggle the screen just right sometimes you can get your screen back... for a little bit.

g1 keep cutting off when im using the phone and turns it on and it cut back off and after charge phone it work right for a minute and turn back off

I have exactly the same problem! My Viewty just switches itself off whenever I send/receive text/calls. I can't even switch it on anymore without it turning itself off after less than a minute!
I have contacted LG, but they are not responding. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
