DId you do the battery replacement yourself or have a store do it for you?
Unless it is done by Timex, or a qualified Timex retailer, it will NOT be waterproof anymore as the seal has been destroyed.
You can try to see if Timex can still repair by going to this link http://www.timex.com/info/Warranty
It could be that the battery has an insulating paper fitted. Have you no instructions?
You can get instructions from the Timex web site "timex.com". At the bottom of the screen click on "manuals/downloads", then on "product manual download" Enter your watch type in the search box and click on "search"
Most bands have removable links on the end of the band. You can tell because they have small holes on the side to remove the pins that hold them together. The links that don't have holes are not removable. This is standard on most metal bands.
Press MODE to select ALARM Press START/SPLIT to change (clock sign and chime sign will appear and disappear as you keep on pressing). Press MODE again and you are all set.
You have a feature on your watch labled OPTION. You can find this by pushing the topright button on your watch until it appears on the screen. then scroll down using the knob until you find hourly beep. From here you can turn it on or off.
I put a new CR2025 battery in my T5e671 Timex and it solved the problem.
The screen no longer goes blank at any time.
PS:Timex manual says "remove battery strap" to replace the battery.
But it doesn't say HOW.-& I couldn't google an answer to that.
Here is how:
The metal strap goes across the middle of the battery and then goes over the edge of it on both sides.
At both edges the metal strap goes over a nylon tab.
One of those nylon tabs is notched, if you put the end of a paperclip in the notch, you can release the metal strap edge that runs under it.
