Installation problem I have been trying to install my Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000. It gets to the part of checking the computer and then gives me a message that there is a software conflict with another device. It asks if I want to remove the other device. I click "OK" and it reboots. However, everytime I try to install the software, it keeps giving me the same message, like it didn't remove my old mouse configurations. I don't know what else to do. Do I unplug me old mouse and keyboard from my computer before installing the software? If so, how do I click on what I need to do for installation?
I have the same problem, I went into the add/remove program and removed setpoint and logictech mouseware but when the computer reboots those programs are there again.I have the same problem, I went into the add/remove program and removed setpoint and logictech mouseware but when the computer reboots those programs are there again.

Go to your control panel and then click add remove programs. Uninstall your old mouse and keyboard programs and then try to install the Microsoft one again. That should fix your problem.

You will need the Driver installation Disk for the wireless Keyboard and start the auto run from the CD. According to your operating system install the proper drivers from the Disk.
change the mouse battery and there is a button named connect on mouse keep pressing the connect button for 3-4 minuts and keep mouse near wireless device which is connected to the computer in USB port then restart your computer and mouse will work fine.
