Power light flashing HP Compaq Presario SR1230NX PC Desktop I powered the unit down; when I tried to powered it up the only reaction is a green led flashing. The led is located in the back close to the receptacle where the 120 VAC are connected. The led is part of the power supply box. The led may be something like a power or function check. The led is flasing color green. No fan goes on or any other sign of life. I disconnected all borads attached t0o the mother board as well as each fun and every load from the power cables. Need a solution...

Sounds like the Power Supply is bad likes its not able to power on itself. Best thing to do, try a different known good power supply and attach it to the motherboard, if you get the same symptom with the machine not powering on then its a bad motherboard. If the machine does power on then you know your original power supply is bad.

if u disconnect the power cords from Motherboard and light on back is solid green wait til it goes out then plug them back in this is usually caused by a power surge so buy a surge protector

Compaq Presario SR2150NX doesn't turn on. Front panel green light turns on but nothing else happens (no fans, no boot, no noise, nothing) Please advice

On the back of the Power Supply there should be a Green LED, When you power it on if it is flashing, this means that the Power Supply is dead and you need to replace it.

Have a compaq pc tower and when i put the power cord in the back all i see is green amber light in the back flashing and no sound or any type of power on the pc.

Just because the light is on doesnt mean it has engough power to start all the components... Try opening the computer and unpluging the things you dont need to start the pc. ie cd rom drives, pci cards floppy drives, ect. If it boots than it is deff the power supply if not it may be either the power supply or motherborad or cpu!

Desktop with not turn on, green blinking light on back

Could have blown out your Power Supply to your PC. But I would at least try to unplug your PC and hit the power button to drain of any standing power, and then plug it back in and see if it will turn on. If not you probably at the very least blew out your power supply.

Presario 6350CA won't boot

I don't know that I'm going to be a great deal of help, but here is the link to the support site for you Presario:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=390426&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

Here's a link to another page on the Compaq site that specifically talks about power supply problems:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph06788&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=390426&lang=en#N514

They discuss a flashing power led on this site, but I believe they are referring to an led on the power supply itself. Perhaps the led on the keyboard and the led on the power supply are both flashing...

Good luck. I hope this helps.
