E Machine T6534 fails every 6 to 9 months

My T6534 e Machine's motherboard had to be replaced after 9 months. It had to be replaced again 6 months later then 6 months after that and now for the 4th time the motherboard was replaced again. That is 4 new motherboards in 2 years 3 months. They replace the motherboard but not the processor chip. Is there a component that is causing the failures which repair is missing? when i boot up the computer the cpu fan turns and then after ten seconds it turns off and theres no video showing so do i need to buy a new motherboard for a emachines T6534?

This could be caused by the processor or fan,But very unlikely to be the mother board.

I think maybe you should be looking for another computer you have far more perseverance with it than I would have after the second time it went I would have thrown it out the window lol hope you sort this one out dedication like this deserves rewards ... regards Vortash

I think it is down to the wire with this one to be honest if the motherboard has already been changed 4 times this being the 5th maybe its time to either try a new tact and replace all the processor and the board in wich case you may as well upgrade and improve on what you have .. or irsk doing the same again and further down the line having to replace it all again .. it could be the dispaly card or the sound or the processor where do you draw the line and say time to quit ? . But I suppose you may be 5th time lucky on the other hand your friend could just be wasting his money if he didnt replace the CPU also and at that exspense a good hard economic look should be taken at the stats to what he is trying to save ? Regards Vortash

Oh sorry was looking at the original post and it said that this was the 4th time sorry , in that case Its up to his economics really you can get some really good deals at the moment on ebay so he may get a CPU and a board at a good price and still be able to upgrade ..but if he wants to go with this original board I would go for a cpu first . Regards Vortash

Emachine troubleshooting

This is typically caused by a power supply failure. Failing power supplies can have enough power to turn on lights and fans but not enough to start the computer. The power supply does not store any data so replacing it is a low risk and low cost effort. It is a very well documented process so search the Internet for "replace power supply" for more details. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I purchased my tx1019au new June,07. Global guaranty costing US$350. p/yr Jan, 08 WLAN card failed, HP Service center first declined to honor warranty telling me to mail it to the country of purchase....

The NVIDIA GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), located at U20, sharing the heatpipe heatsink with the main processor, has an issue with the reflow soldering to the motherboard.
If you can find a good PC board shop that mounts BGAs (Ball Grid Array parts, have them resolder the part to the motherboard.
Quanta Computers, of Taiwan, built the boards originally. (http://www.quantatw.com/Quanta/english/service/serviceinfo.aspx) They sell new MBs for $400. If you can get the NVIDIA part reflowed, it will probably cost less and work better.
The heat of operation causes the part to lift from the motherboard, causing separation of the solder joints, and intermittancy, or a complete failure with increased temperature - these parts are designed to run pretty hot.
Good luck.

Did these N200 0769 have a lot of faulty motherboards, my first Mboard failed within guarantee- and has again failed within 9 months of replacement.

I have a Lenovo 0769 and my motherboard is dead, it worked for 2 years and 3 month. Now it is out of warrenty and new motherboard costs almost the same as a new laptop..

Comp not reading montor

It sounds like the on board video has failed. I would try installing a video card on the motherboard. Then in the bios at start up, disable the on board video, so it will use the video card instead.

I hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa,

Motherboard failures. 4 times in 2+ years.

in my opinion e-machines are the bottom of the barrel and if they were giving them away I would have to pass, because they use the absolute lowest cost per unit parts = lowest quality parts in most cases... that is my opinion and not fact, sell it to someone and always buy the best quality you afford it almost always gives you more enjoyment for a longer period of time. Cheers!
