What do you mean by reset? Do you mean restore it or power reset? If you mean restore go to start/help and support/system restore and choose restore my computer to an earlier time (WinXP). If it's a power reset just hold the power button in until it shuts off

The first thing that you need to do is to reset the router. The reason why you need to reset the router because that will help you to fix the problem and to know the main problem/issue.

Steps

To perform a factory reset:
  1. On the back of your router, locate the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button.
  2. Using a paper clip or similar object, press and hold the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button for about seven seconds.
  3. Release the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button and wait for your router to reboot.
    After your router is finished with the factory reset, the Power light stops blinking and lights solid green.
    Note: The Power light on newer router models lights solid white.
    The factory default settings are restored.

Note: Once you reset the router it will be back to factory default settings and you need to setup the internet connection settings on to your router


Once your done with the hard reset try connect your computer and if your computer will have the same issue connecting to the router it only means that the problem is on your computer / try to connect other device first before you reset the router

I take it you changed the computer. Or why would you reset the computer that was in the car. If you replaced the computer with one specifically the same part number the computer should not need reset. If you are talking about resetting miles, that won't happen.

What computer are you talking about , engine computer. It doesn't matter because there is no reset button. You need a scan tool or disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 or 10 min. Is the vehicle check engine light on , is that what's going on here ? You can try an reset the computer, but if the computer system has a problem it will come back on. An if the light is on you need to have it scanned for codes.

There is not a computer reset button installed on the car anywhere you need to have a computer that connects to the ecu on the car (the cars computer) with the computer attached you can reset codes or reset the computer.

to reset the computer just take off a terminal on your car battery for 15 minutes, this will reset the system, if you have a standard stereo you need to remember or know the code incase it locks you out and asks you for one after.

You can reset it by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes and reconnecting it. This will turn off the engine light and reset the adaptive memory.

Resetting the computer
I would reset your computer. CEL will stay on unless you clear the codes or reset the computer. To reset the computer you will need to pull the negative cable off the battery for 20 Seconds, place it back on for 5 seconds then back off for 20 seconds then back on for good. Thanks for using fixya!
