Make sure that the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer. The software aids in creating PDF files and combining multiple-page documents into one file. The software is only available on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you don't have the install disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.
Some lexmark printer software does not allow this, but the later printers have the facility.
Go to the Productivity suite program. Find the scan settings and go into it. Somewhere there might be a setting for scanning to PDF - Multiple Pages. Set it to this setting. When you then scan, the program will ask you if you want to scan more pages. If you say yes, it will scan the next page and so on, until you tell it you're done. All these pages than goes to one PDF file
Download the Lexmark X5150 User's Guide available at http://bit.ly/aSItHD. Scroll to page 22 for the Scanning instructions. The Lexmark scan software is available in the installation disk. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.
I suggest you use the Lexmark Productivity Studio on your computer to scan to PDF. After scanning a page using the software, it will ask you if you want to scan another page. So just continue adding pages then save as PDF. Hope this helps. Leave a comment if you need more assistance and I'll get back to it. Thanks.
Scanned to one file is only supported for Document Scan type ( you
should choose shortcut with scan type =Document) and you should make
sure that the box "Create one file per scanned page..." (in the Save to
file Options) is unticked
Hi, I will try the following, Uninstall completely all the Lexmark software as well as the printer driver. Then go the Lexmark website and download the latest driver. That takes care of this issue most of the times.
Hi, I will suggest that you try uninstalling the driver and the Lexmark software from your computer then unplug the printer from the computer and restart the PC. Click on the following link http://bit.ly/cOOxnr and select your Operating system and download the driver. Once downloaded install it and that should take care of the problem.
well you are able to scan multiple documents.. but the file size is more.. the way lexmark software writes the pdf file.. the file will be huge for PDF... but not sure if this is a case with any other all in one manufacturer like HP also... but i would assume it would be the same..
so scan the file to MS WORD or any other application that supports multiple pages... so u have it as one file... but if u want only pdf files, then u have to do a little work around like writing the MS WORD Document to pdf format. If the PDF Writer is not installed with your copy of MSWORD then try any free pdf writer software available on the internet.
