Gemini XL 500II turntable will not hold pitch,it either speeds up or slows down making it very hard to mix.Can this be fixed?
SOURCE: I own Gemini TT01 belt drive turntable, as time
Take the platter off & tietern the bolt that holds the spindle pin to the motor or in your case the base.
if you carnt get to it by taking off the platter then u will have to unscrew the base & get to it that way.
OH & dont forget to unscrew the feet coz they hold the corners together.
& good luck mate coz Theres alot screws to take out.
if u get stuk E-Mail me.....
SOURCE: sound wavers (speeds up and slows down)
you need to replace the Pitch controls. I'm presuming it is a sliding pitch control. Use the Red start stop lights that reflect on the rotating wheel. put the pitch in center 0. does one row of the dots on the wheel stay completely still.now just turn it up op down a bit until it starts to move the dots slightly. now watch the dots now while there moving. Do they fluctuate they should be smoothe. do this on both decks to find out which one is fluctuating.
