How to replace motor on 8925 riccar vac?

There is not a motor bushing on a Riccar 8925, it has sealed bearings. There is nothing that needs to be timed or adjusted in the motor.

Where is riccar radiance filter reset button

Remove the bag door, you will see a little round rubber piece about 1/4 in diameter on the motor cover. Remove the rubber piece and very gently push the button while the brush roll motor is running

The motor on my riccar 8650 is very loud. is there brushes that can be replaced?

Your. 8650 is likely well over 20 years old. It has carbon brushes in the motor that may need replaced but your best bet Is to take it to your Riccar dealer to diagnose it or you might replace the wrong thing. You have a very durable long lasting machine obviously but there are minor things that need occasional service to keep it running properly for many more years. This series started with the 8600 models of which I still have many brought in for annual service. There has been an 8700 and 8800 series and now the latest 8900 series which has been out well over 10 years.

Riccar model 8625 need compatible repalcement motor for original Ametek # 117405-00 12 amp no longer available ?

You can likely get any 8000 series motor to fit but there are different motors and you really need to talk to a qualified trained Riccar repair technician to determine the proper motor for your model. Your model is almost 30 years old and a newer motor would be difficult for the average homeowner to safely install. You were given good advice because they told you to discuss it with a qualified retailer for the proper way to safely get your vacuum running again. If done properly there could be many more years of usable service left I your old vacuum. If done wrong it could cause damage to the motor or other parts of the vacuum or even cause a fire, death or injury.

Last night vacuum started making high pitched sounds. Sounded like motor was running way to fast. The hepa filter on side of product was blown off. I checked the belt, and was in tact but has a few...

Hello, I don't belive it is the filters, the motor sounds like it is bad, whihc will be happen more offen on bagless vacuums, they need more reapir work. The best choice for a vacuum is a bagged machine, and Miele / Riccar and Oreck are the Best. If I can help feel free to call 1561-848-3387 Thank you, Teresa. Clean sweep Vacuums.

My Riccar 8850 stopped running. Changed the bag and cleared all hoses. Light comes on but the motor doesn't operate. I can turn the brush freely by hand.

Greetings from GoVacuum,

If the light on your Riccar 8850 is coming on, but the motor is not coming on, this indicates that your motor has gone bad. There is a reset switch on the back of the vacuum cleaner that sometimes trips if the bag is too full, or the filters are not maintained, but when this happens nothing on the vacuum comes on including the headlight. If the headlight is coming on, this indicates that electricity is making it down to the headlight, and the current is going through, but just not activating the motor. This is a tell tale sign of your motor being bad, and needing replacement. You can purchase the motor for the Riccar 8850 (12 AMP, 2 stage motor, Riccar part D113-1700 $122.44) from GoVacuum by giving us a call, as we don't yet have this part on our website.

I hope this helped you. We have been fixing Riccar's for over 30 years, and they are great vacuum cleaners, and the age of the model 8850 is probably the life expectancy of this vacuum cleaner.
