I opened the TV, but no "switch" on the PCB to do a "reset to factory". ... You almost certainly need the remote, and also the service manual that .... and I was able to get into the menu by remote and to disable the Child lock.
THE SOLUTION FOR THIS FIX, AS IT WORKED FOR ME....I WAS LOCKED OUT BBY THE DUMB CHILD LOCK FOR TWO MONTHS, BOOUGHT A NEW REMOTE THAT DIDNT WORK....GET A 10$ REMOTE FROM THE STORE, AND ENTER CODE 0224 IT KILLS THE CHILD LOCK FEATURE..THEN YOU CAN POWER ON THE TV..GO TO MENU AND SELECT CHILD LOCK AND DEACTIVATE IT! THANKS ALOT MAGNAVOX..IT WAS NOT IN THE MANUAL FOR THE TV OR THE REMOTE FOR THE TV EITHER......CAPERS~
Press setup subtitle 3 audio 0 to unlock ...worked for me. Thank a user on Videohelp.com for solution:

If you spill drinks on a keyboard, something is bound to break, and apparantly only the O key did...
The only way to fix it is to get a new keyboard, I'm sorry.
I hope this helps,
Yannick.
Check the fuses first. If that dont work take the door apart the wiers have problably lost the connection due to kids and chocolate.
Gotta love them tho.
