The razor head comes loose from the two arms.

RE: Braun Syncro 7526 Electric Shaver The razor head, which holds the comb & cutter, comes loose from the two arms that extend from the "motor/battery section" of the razor. The two spring-loaded pins on both sides of the razor head pop out. I may have lost one of the two steel clips inside the razor head, into which the two arms lock. Is there any way this can be repaired. If so, how or where? If not, do you know whether and where I might purchase a replacement razor head? I bought a replacement foil and cutter block, and when I replaced them I started getting a really bad shave (Painful pulling of hairs!). Also, when I 'pop' the side releases, the complete foil and cutter block shoot clear of the main body (potentially damaging the new foil). Is this a a bad batch of replacements? The old foil/cutter still seems to work ok.

The one piece motor drive which also contains the shaver head in the Braun wear out. They can be replaced by yourself or a shaver tech. A good place for parts, http://shaveroutlet.com/.

To disassemble the 7000 Series Braun shaver.

Disassembly of the 7000 Braun shaver is basically the same as the 8000 series Braun shaver listed below. The 7000 is actually easier to disassemble as the plastic is much thicker and the bottom socket cover pops right off as there are less tabs and they are bigger.

To disassemble the 8000 Braun Series shaver.

Remove the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the corded socket. Be careful, there are a total of two tabs on the short sides and four very small tabs on the long sides. I usedmy fingernail to create a space big enough to insert the corner of a credit card in the center of the long side opposite the blue light indicator, then gently removed the cover. Using a screwdriver could damage the plastic.

The two sides then pop off, they only fit on their respective side when replacing. Don't lose the two small black seals on the top of each side piece.

There are a total of four screws holding the body together. Remove the screws, using the proper flat blade or torx screwdriver. The shaver will then split into. You can then remove the the Motor Drive Unit and the separate circuit board with the batteries.

This would also be a good time to clean the goo buildup from around the shaver head.

Assembly is the reverse of above. The Motor Unit will only fit in one way, there is a flat side and a angular side. Be sure the pin for the trimmer is placed in its proper hole, or it won't extend.

Charger arm will not stay locked in place to charge the razor

This is a common problem for older cleaning bases. The part is worn out. You will need to replace the upper housing of the cleaning base. You will find this item available at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Can't get the 7526 cleaning arm to stay down on the shaver for charging, cleaning, etc. Is there a sequence e.g. hold the arm down then select a cycle, or select then push down? What is the blue button...

The locking mechanism in the arm is broken. This is a common problem with your model. To repair it you will need to purchase a replacement part. You will find the part at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

My Braun 7526 will no longer clip into the razor for cleaning and charging.

If the arm on the charging stand no longer locks down into place to charge the shaver, you will need to replace the arm or you can replace the entire charging unit. The razor head comes loose from the two arms.

I had a similar problem where one of the side covers popped off. I was able to reattach it, by carefully aligning the spring and pushing back into place. If you've lost the pin, you're out of luck. Braun does not make these kinds of parts available for user servicing, unfortunately.

However, the 7000 series models are all compatible with each other in terms of motor, battery, and razor head armature. You could try locating a moderately used example on the cheap (maybe less than $20) and then cannibalize it for the parts you need.

Do NOT send it off to Braun for servicing, as you will be charged much more than the shaver is worth. If it comes to that, you're better off just going with an 8000 series shaver.
