I opened the TV, but no "switch" on the PCB to do a "reset to factory". ... You almost certainly need the remote, and also the service manual that .... and I was able to get into the menu by remote and to disable the Child lock.
Unfortunately, you can't disable the child lock (front panel lock) without a working remote for the TV. If you can find a universal remote that will match the Menu function of the TV, then press menu and find the child lock option. Then press Volume + or Volume - to toggle it to off.
Yes,ur tv does require a tv orginal remote will help u to used,but the child lock mode must have a secret codes to enter it.Can't turn tv on,must have the tv original remote to enter child lock secret codes though.Tries Goodmans website look for there 1-800.. call ask their customer service they can help to erase the child lock secrect password,if u don't know it.Try website Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

So you can try 0000 and then let URC learn it. For example press 1 (to change channel to 1) for 10 second.. and maybe it will learn it. Like on others URC Or maybe try this Diamond 530, 531, 544 (this is from panasonic)
You need to look at it real good- find the manufacturers label which will have the model and serial number. Copy the information and go to any good electronics store and find a universal remote for that set. Configure the remote and find the child lock menu and turn the lock off. If it requires a password and you do not have that either, you will have to perform a "reset to factory defaults" from the menu.
TV's will not usually allow access to the child lock controls without a remote.

press and fold the F key then press mute via the remote is the only way stated in the manual. try the remote you have make sure there is fresh batteries in it and the switch on the side is set to TV
