Hi have a renault master mk 2 lower wishbone peg/bolt which is stuck, the pin wont come out, it seems the rubber bushing is keeping it in place, even tried using a pry bar but to no avail.
Do you have any ideas on how to get it out, I have the nut off and everything else.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Drain the cooling system.
  4. Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
  5. Remove the hood.
  6. Remove the engine appearance cover.
  7. Remove the air intake assembly.
  8. Disconnect both cables from the battery.
  9. Remove the battery and battery tray.
  10. Remove the coolant reservoir.
  11. Remove the power steering reservoir.
  12. Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
  13. Remove the coolant hoses from coolant adapter.
  14. Remove the grill closure panel.
  15. Remove the upper radiator hose support.
  16. Disconnect the engine electrical connectors and reposition harness.
  17. Remove the air intake tube from throttle body.
  18. Disconnect the fuel line from fuel rail.

  21. Remove the throttle body support bracket.
  22. Disconnect the electronic throttle control and manifold flow control valve electrical connectors.
  23. Remove the PCV hose, and make-up air hose from valve cover.
  24. Remove the dipstick.
  25. Remove the intake manifold mounting bolts and remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold, removal & installation.
  26. Disconnect the electrical connectors and reposition the harness.
  27. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Accessory Drive Belts, removal & installation.
  28. Remove the power steering line support at the engine mount and exhaust manifold.
  29. Remove the power steering pump and set it aside.
  30. Remove the upper idler pulley.
  31. Remove the ground strap near the right tower.
  32. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  33. Remove the right front wheel.
  34. Remove the engine splash shield.
  35. Remove the torque converter inspection cover and match-mark the torque converter to the flywheel.
  36. Remove the torque converter bolts.
  37. Remove the lower bell housing mounting bolts.
  38. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bolts.
  39. Remove the alternator and the lower idler pulley.
  40. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector and remove the sensor.
  41. Remove the exhaust variable valve timing solenoid.
  42. Install an engine lift chain to cylinder head, as shown.
  43. Connect the chain to the rear engine lift hook.
  44. Install engine lifting crane.
  45. Remove the right engine mount through-bolt.
  46. Remove the engine mount adapter retaining bolts and the mount adapter.

How to remove oil pan


4x4
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cables.
3. Remove the intake air assembly.
4. Remove the radiator shroud retaining bolts.
5. Install engine support fixture # 8534B .
6. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: HOT OIL CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.


7. Drain the engine oil (Refer to 09 - Engine/Lubrication/OIL - Standard Procedure) .
8. Loosen the front engine mount bolts.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Use the engine support fixture # 8534B to raise engine out of the front mounts.
11. Remove the engine oil dipstick.
12. Raise and support the vehicle.
13. Remove oil pan bolts, break the pan to block seal, and lower pan slightly and remove oil suction tube fasteners.
14. Remove oil pan and suction tube.
15. Remove the 2 bolts from the front of the engine block stiffener.
16. Remove the oil pan.

3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines.

Heater Core
Removal and Installation Procedure for 2001 Windstar.

Drain the cooling system.

Remove the cowl top vent panel. Disconnect the heater hoses.

Remove the lower instrument panel utility compartment.
Remove the ash receptacle.

Remove the rear seat airflow duct.
Remove the pins.
Remove the duct.

Remove the four instrument panel support bolts and detach the electrical connectors.

Remove the nuts and remove the center instrument panel support bracket.

Remove the bolts and remove the support brace.

Remove the 2 screws and remove the floor duct.

Remove the 7 cover screws and remove the cover.

Remove the dash panel seal.

Remove the core.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  2. Drain cooling system.
  3. Remove the upper front fender apron insulator.
  4. Remove the upper radiator support insulator.
  5. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly.
  6. Remove the right lower splash shield.
  7. Remove the drive belt and alternator.
  8. Remove the air switching valve (XRS)
  9. Remove the power steering oil pressure switch connector.
  10. Remove the 2 power steering mounting nuts and through bolts. Remove the steering pump from the engine. Secure the steering pump to the cowl toy_car_15_wood_block_on_jack.gif

  17. Remove the 4 bolts and the cylinder head shield (XRS).

  19. Remove the Ventilation pipe and gasket (XRS).
  20. Remove the 9 bolts, wire harness protector. Remove the cylinder head cover and gasket (XRS).

  22. Turn the crankshaft pulley and align its groove with timing mark "0" on the timing chain cover. toy_car_18_eng_tmng_mark.gif

  23. Ensure that the marks on the camshaft timing sprockets are in straight line on the timing chain cover surface as shown. toy_car_18_eng_tmng_point_marks.gif

  24. If not turn the crankshaft 1 revolution (360°) and align the marks as above.

  27. Remove the mounting bolt, nut and the drive belt tensioner.

    Note: If the crankshaft timing sprocket cannot be removed by hand, use 2 screwdrivers. Position shop rags as shown to prevent damage.
  40. Remove the timing chain and crankshaft timing sprocket.

  42. Hold the camshaft hexagonal section with a wrench. Remove the sprocket mounting bolt.
  43. Remove the valve timing controller assembly and timing sprocket.

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Remove the cowl top vent panel.

Heater Case Removal
  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Section 03-03 for the procedure.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).
  3. Disconnect the heater water hoses (18472) from the heater core (18476) at the bulkhead.
  4. Remove the instrument panel lower center panel (04494). Refer to Section 01-12 for the removal procedure.
  5. Remove the glove compartment and LH instrument panel lower cover (044L97). Refer to Section 01-12 for the removal procedure.
  6. Remove the instrument panel ash receptacle (04810).
  7. Remove the two upper center instrument panel finish panel screws and the two lower center instrument panel finish panel screws.




  8. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel (044D70) and disconnect the cigar lighter socket and cigar lighter illumination lamp electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the four radio chassis bracket screws and pull the radio chassis (18806) and climate control assembly from the instrument panel (04320). Disconnect the radio chassis electrical connectors, the antenna lead, the three climate control electrical connectors and remove the radio chassis and climate control assembly.
  10. Remove the two heater outlet floor duct screws. Remove the heater outlet floor duct (18C433).




  11. Remove the four RH instrument panel lower reinforcement bolts and the RH instrument panel lower reinforcement (045F08), then the four LH instrument panel lower reinforcement and the LH instrument panel lower reinforcement.
  12. Remove the anti-lock brake control module (2B373). Refer to Section 06-09 for the removal procedure.
  13. If equipped, remove the speed control amplifier. Refer to Section 10-03 for the removal procedure.
  14. Remove the electronic door lock control processor (14B001). Refer to Section 01-14A for the removal procedure.
  15. Remove the passive restraint control module. Refer to Section 01-20B for the removal procedure.
  16. Remove the two center duct screws and remove the center duct (19D633).




  17. Remove the two ground wire bolts.
  18. Remove the three U-bracket-to-chassis nuts.




  19. Remove the four U-bracket bolts and remove the U-bracket.


  20. Remove the two RH and the two LH instrument panel bracket bolts and remove the instrument panel brackets (042C74).
  21. Remove the RH inner duct.
  22. Remove the LH inner duct.
  23. Remove the two accelerator pedal and shaft bolts and then the accelerator pedal and shaft (9725).
  24. Remove the accelerator pedal stop screw and then the accelerator pedal stop (9816).
  25. Remove the heater outlet duct screw and remove the heater outlet duct.
  26. Remove the temperature blend/panel bypass door actuator motor. Refer to the procedure in this section.
  27. Remove the panel/floor/defrost door actuator motor. Refer to the procedure in this section.
  28. Remove the three A/C evaporator register duct screws and remove the A/C evaporator register duct.
  29. NOTE: The A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly does not have to be removed in order to remove the heater assembly.

    Remove the four A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly screws to aid in the removal of the heater assembly.
  30. Remove the four heater assembly screws.
  31. Remove the heater assembly.

Instrument Cluster Removal and Installation Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 . Remove the instrument panel center finish panel. Remove the screws. Disconnect the connectors and remove the instrument panel center finish panel. Remove the hood latch release handle. Remove the screws. Lower the hood latch release handle out of the way. Remove the instrument panel steering column cover. Remove the screws. Remove the instrument panel steering column cover. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement. Remove the four screws. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement. Position the column gearshift lever in the low position. Partially remove the instrument cluster finish panel. Remove the screws. Position instrument the cluster finish panel to gain access to electrical connectors. Remove instrument the cluster finish panel. Disconnect the connectors. Remove instrument the cluster finish panel. NOTE: Illustration shows steering column removed for clarity. Remove the instrument cluster. Remove the screws. Remove the transmission range indicator and position the cluster forward to disconnect the three electrical connectors on the back. Remove the instrument cluster.

The wiper blade connection has released from the wiper blade motor bar that controls the wipers movement. You can hear the motor working but the arms have been disengaged.

NOTE: The two cowl grilles overlap at the center. The LH cowl grille must be removed first.

    1. Remove the clips.
    1. Remove the pin-type retainer.
    1. Remove the LH cowl grille.
