You can try unplugging the TV for a bit to see if that resets it. Next check if the TV was set to use external speakers by accident. Finally, try a factory reset. Please add a comment with the model of the Haier TV for directions for checking the audio output menu and factory reset.
I hope this helps.

(I had a different TV from a different brand that had no external audio port. It would sometimes lose audio on one channel or several channels. Unplugging the TV solved the problem; the factory reset option in the TV menu didn't resolve the issue.)
Open your speaker box up most likely the jumper from the inside of the box to the subwoofer itsself is broken free, Usally when they have lights around the sub woofers there seperate leads, bet 10-1 you have loose wires inside the speaker box
There is no setting that would choose one front speaker to work differently than the other. The amp or something in the audio path within the receiver is failing.
Tries tv and cable box unplug, replug it back like about an hour later. For the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting. The cable box to reboot and upgraded it software.Than go in to the tv Menu go to Audio Setting go down and do a resetting back to the tv factory setting.By doing these steps u have a great chances to get ur tv audio sound back. Not have the same problems after this than the tv Tuner signal board it is shorted in the audio ICS modjulation sections.Tries websites like Shopjimmy,com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.
All the tv channels, work find and have sounds wright?Only channel 2 don't?Is not the tv,it channel 2 have broadcasting problems.U check around ur house the other tv channel 2 have sound?Tries go into the tv menu.Goto Audio Setting,go down to resetting the audio functions, now it going back to the factory setting,if it is the tv,that will help.
A factory reset made teletext available again on digital channels.
When on standby, push on remote in quick succession <info><menu><mute><power> buttons. Follow onscreen menu to option 12 (reset) and select. Be aware that you will have to tune in all analogue and digital channels again.
I would reset the factory defaults on the TV, but some complicating information follows these instructions: Reset Factory Defaults To reset all settings and channels to their factory default values: 1 Press Y and open the Setup menu. 2 Highlight Installation and press T. A new set of Installation menu icons will appear. 3 Open the System Status menu, highlight System Information, and press T. 4 Press C c to scroll through the menu bar to select Factory Defaults. 5 Enter your PIN code (or 0000 if no PIN code has been set). Because the PC and HDMI-1 inputs share the same set of analog audio inputs, the PC Audio menu setting influences the HDMI 1 Audio menu setting. If PC Audio is set to “No,” the HDMI 1 Audio setting changes to “Auto.” If PC Audio is set to “Yes,” the HDMI 1 Audio setting is set to “Digital” and is grayed out in the menu. (Also see item 5 on page 12 of manual and “Setting the HDMI™ Audio mode” on page 43 of manual). There is also some good information on pp.20-22 and 54-57 of the manual - this one has a lot of audio hookups and settings. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
i've just some digging around and found that you can access a service menu and perform a reset which sorted the issue for me.
Access the service menu by pressing, in order, whilst the tv is in stand-by mode:
info menu mute power
when the tv comes back on you will have a service menu; select option 12 (reset) the tv will then switch off.
this will reset your TV back to factory defaults.
turn
tv back on and you should be prompted to go through the plug and play
setup again - go through everything and then all should start working
OK (it did for me)
