Screen blurs when conected to xbox 360

Hello depending on what type of input u use there is a switch on the cable nearest the cable end that is labeled TV and HDTV if you are using all five cables to connect the xbox then put the switch to HDTV, if you are useing the yellow, red, and white then put the switch in TV mode.

I have a sony KDF-50E2000 When I connect my xbox360 I get like ghosting on tv.

Have you connected the XBox using the component cables ? If so there is a small box on the connector cable with a switch labeled HDTV. Try changing the position of the switch. And I hope the XBox is not from another country where the color system is different from yours ( Europe is PAL and USA/JAPAN is NTSC ).

Ghosting on hdmi channel on my sony bravia

With HDMI there should be no ghosting. And being a Sony Bravia it should be no ghosting. My 52" Sony is great.
You've got connection issues.

My Sony Bravia KDF-E50A12U has a ghost effect when I play the ps3 or xbox 360. Strangley my virgin media HD box gives a fantastic picture. I have tried the 360 and ps3 on other tv's and they work fine....

Ok, firstly, disclaimer.

This "solution" utilises a "service" menu, that only trained engineers should use. You are not one, you are an "end user". biggrin.gif So am I, but I paid attention. wink.gif

Use of this information is entirely at your own risk, you mess up your telly, it's your own silly fault. Don't go messing with stuff in there you don't know about.

Ok.

To bring up the "service" menu, put the TV in standby mode, then press in sequence :

Onscreen Display ( the little screen with the i+ in it )
5 ( channel number 5 )
Volume Up ( upper end of volume button )
Analogue ( middle top button )

The TV should switch on and when it's warmed up, you should see a screen with lots of big green lettering on it.

Press the "menu" button ( middle bottom )

Use the direction dial to move down to "LCD Drivers" and press right on the dial to enter this menu.

Move down to "S H Pos Reg R". It should be "10", change it to "11". ( Left/Right to adjust )
Move down to "S H Pos Reg G". It should be "10", change it to "11".
Move down to "SHPos Reg B". It should be "10", change it to "11". (it's on the next "page", keeping scrolling down the menu)

Press the menu button to drop out of the menus, and the standy button to drop to standby. Switch back on, and hopefully your ghosting will be gone.

Fuzzy picture

You can't make SD look like HD thats why HD came out, the best you can do is adjust the picture controls to get the optium picture
