New battery fitted (just in case) but phone still discharges within a few hours, even if left with screen locked and without any use. I have tried taking it out of its magnetic flapped case and removing SD card and swapped the new battery with a known good one from another KU990 but still it discharges from fully charged within 8 hours in standby with the screen locked. I have turned off all applications including bluetooth and all alarms too. Help???
The magnetic closer may be causing interference with the units ability to stay connected to service..if thats the issue it will constantly be searching for a signal which sucks power to do..like being in a metal enclosure and getting reduced bars..
Hi Jerome, I have already tried the new batttery without the case,
as quoted above and this didnt work. I have now covered the electrical contacts inside the rear cover with tape and removed and realigned the SD card housing slightly as this was the cause on another of my ku990's. It is now much improved, with 7hrs of standby and 70mins of calls resulting in only 1 bar of charge lost. Thanks anyway.

SOURCE: quick Battery Discharge on LG KU990 Camera/Phone
My problem turned out to be self inflicted as I am a new user of this phone and found out it was purely "Finger Trouble" my phone had closed down and I could not bring it back to life and found that by connecting the battery charger whilst charging I was then able to operate the phone through the charger and from thence on after disconnecting the charger the phone returned to full use. Sorry to have bothered you but grateful of your offer of assistance, I shall know where to go if something more serious should arise. I am a "Silver Computer User" of 80 tender years trying to keep up with the 21st century so that's my excuse for getting in a mess with my first Mobile Phone/Camera. Regards & Thanks Again, Dennis Sparrow
