Cooktop does not respond to the touch. Displays error codes E51, E52, and E53. I turned the breaker for the cooktop off and on, which did not clear the problem.
This link lists the error codes for your cooktop: Needapplianceparts com
Specifically, it's a "sensor break" in your front and center burners.
The solutions they recommend:
* Verify element temperature sensor is correctly connected to the generator circuit board
* Replace element if temperature sensor resistor value is not approximately 1000 ohms (blue wires) at room temperature
* Replace associated generator circuit board

Hi Sue -- when you switched the breaker, how long did you leave it off before switching it back on? Generally, it's a good idea to leave the breaker off (or unplug the unit) for a full 30 seconds before switching the unit back on. If you did have it off for 30 seconds and the error code came on after that point, then it may possibly be a relay isse. That will more than likely require a visit from an authorized servicer to properly diagnose the cooktop. Hopefully the 30-second test prevails and the issue is resolved. Best of luck!
Hi Dolores, I understand that your cooktop will not turn on after receiving an error code "40". Usually this error code can indicate a communication error between the Induction Module, Relay Board, and Control Board. I would also recommend doing a hard reset by unplugging or turning the household power breaker off to the appliance for five to ten minutes. If the problem persists, please reach out to a professional technician. Hope this helps! -JK
