Pull off exhaust vent. Clean. Remove back cover. Clean all airways free of lint and debris. Is this electric or gas dryer? If electric, plug back in and run dryer. Is the heating element glow red? Yes, check and make sure that air is now flowing freely out the back of the exhaust vent. No, replace heating element.

GE dryer dwsr463eg7ww timer isn't working and doesnt heat up

The heating element assembly warms the air before the air enters the dryer drum. If the dryer won't stop, it may be because the heating element assembly isn't working - which greatly increases the drying time. Check the heating element for continuity. http://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Dryer/7-3-850356-/GE-Dryer-won-t-stop-DWSR463EG7WW

Ge oven jtp18 elements won't heat

The limit switch in a Ge oven usually works or is blown. I would look at the oven sensor located at the back of the oven. It should read approximately 1k ohm at room temperature.

Problem with the GE Spacemaker (JVM1640SJ) Microwave Oven GE Spacemaker XL1800 won't heat food anymore....It worked this morning, now won't heat. What should I do?

GE Will replace the magnetron for 9 years! Mine is a 2004 model with a one year warrently according to manual. HOWEVER they did say the magnatron was covered for nine years: call 888-239-6832. When I called they said thats all they get calls for and would send out in 3-5 days. NO CHARGE. I had to ask if there was coverage longer than a year on major parts and that's when they offered the info and I eventually was transferred to the right office. Saved $120 bucks on parts alone.

GE MICROWARE WON,T HEAT UP

Likely problem: Blown magnetron. On microwaves, this can generally go dead, usually with a popping sound. Solution: A: Call an appliance repairman to replace the magnetron in the device, or B: buy a new microwave. Depending on how much you paid for it, you might be getting a better deal on either end.
