HI, I can help you. Is the water leaking from the freezer side?

  • Anonymous May 28, 2009

ok, If the water keeps dripping from the fresh water tube in the door, you will need to change the inlet valve. This valve is only activated when electric is sent to it. The valve is sticking open a little and allowing the drip.

I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist yu further.

SOURCE: ed25rfxfw01 whirlpool fridge water dispenser ...I have a slow drip from the dispenser hose. I assume I need a new water inlet valve. How do I access the inlet valve for replacing?

It should be on the right hand side in the back take off the compressor cover on the back should be 8 or so 1/4 screws nutdriver type and then two more hold on the water valve. If you have a RO system hooked up to refrig you may need to change the filters on the ro or just change the filter on the refrig. those two will also cause the water to drip thru the valve allowing it to drip on the front

RE: whirlpool refrigerator side by side ED25RFXFW01. I accidentally severed the water line inside the freezer door. How do I get to it? It appears that the shelves and insulation are glued to the door,...

The water line can be replaced by removing the dispenser cover and disconnecting the tubing and then pull the old line down from the bottom hinge area. once out, you can install your new line back up into the place it came out of. it goes through a channel inside the door. once back up in dispenser area..connect back to nozzle. the hose under freezer door needs to be connected as well...

Whirlpool GR2FHTXVQ00 fridge. Water dispenser

The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.
The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure.

You can thaw out the fill tube and replace the inlet valves.

Water filter leak Whirlpool ed25rfxfw01

I have an undersink filter from Whirlpool that is leaking also. I had an older one that also leaked and I replaced it. Worked fine for about six months then water all over under the sink. I believe it is leaking from the O-ring which seals the body and the cap. I think they have a lousy design and will look for another filter.

Water dispenser on our Whirlpool fridge freezer seems to get an airlock from time to time and the water is dispensed noisily and in spurts! Any clues?

TRY AND REMOVE THE PIPES THAT LINK THE WATER TO THE FRIDGE AND REMOVE THE AIR IN THE LINE ALSO THAT CAN BE CAUSED THROUGH THE MAIN WATER LINE TO YOUR HOUSE.

GOOD LUCK.
