The Silent button on the D3097 is a global Do Not Disturb button. To reduce the ringer volume, press the Volume Down button on each handset when the phone system is in standby (not in use). When you have pressed the Volume Down button to the point where the ringer is muted, you will see an icon of a bell with a line through it.

Check for interference from appliances (microwave ovens, TVs, etc.) or wireless devices (baby monitors, WiFi equipment, etc.). Move the handset or base away from the interference source.

get a manual off amazon or ebay

All it is that the handset is not getting a signal from the base. Easiest way to get things back on would be to turn off the power to the base, wait a few seconds and then put power back on. See if the message goes away. Also depends how long the electricity went out. The handset battery may be weak and needs time to recharge to full rating.

By any chance do you have call forwarding turned on? That would account for the single ring and the unfamiliar voicemail. Call forwarding is a service provided by your phone company or cable voice company which allows you to transfer incoming calls to another phone number, such as a cell phone. It's usually activated by pressing a key sequence (such as *72) and entering the number of the phone that you want to receive your calls. It's easy to turn it on and then forget to turn it off. You can turn it off with another key sequence, such as *73. Contact your phone company for the correct code.

Did you try a different phone jack? Or does your phone take batteries they might be low, or try to contact the company through e-mail.

normally the adaptor has a switch for converter 11oVac to 220vac. If you adaptor do not have, you must ask to the company to provide a new one. Otherwise you can not connect it. You can damage the base unit.

Did you find your solution? You need Uniden wall mount adapter GBCT2B5319Z, but their site lists it as "back-ordered." (I am looking to buy this phone set but, like you, want it wall-mounted, and have not found this mounting adapter in stock on the Web yet.)
