try this option reset settings to factory default
reconnect lcd cable from mainboard to lcd panel

appears other people are having the same issue with Samsung TV's.

Try calling Samsung or wherever you bought it from.

I've been dealing with Samsung on this issue.

We got a 40" LCD in October 2010 and it started flickering January 2012.

Changing it from 'standard' to 'movie' helped (natural and dynamic flicker)

Then it started flickering in 'movie.'

I called Samsung and told them this issue is all over the internet. They agreed to pay for repair, parts and labor, even though it's out of warranty.

The guy just left and this is what I know. He said that in the 46" and larger, the issue is a jumper. In the 40" and, I think, smaller, it's the panel. He's ordering the panel and will be back to replace it when it comes in from the warehouse in CA.

When the screen flickers on and off it usually comes from the power supply or backlight inverter being bad. For your TV, the backlight inverter and power supply unit are combined. I suggest try to connect your machine to an external display and see if its having also a flickering lines, if not it means the lcd display have a problem and try to load also to BIOS and see if its also having flickering lines, if its having also flickering lines means that the lcd is faulty.

Sometimes LCD screens can flicker if kept in cold environments. Make sure that it's not too cold in the area of the LCD. Also, make sure the cable to the monitor is connected properly, as a loose cable can also cause the screen to flicker.

1. this may be due to cable select and or cable not being secure at connection point
2.check your instruction manual for proper setup for digital signal to the LCD monitor and the to your video source.
