Most microwaves have a shield over the light bulb in the cooking compartment. Some are accessed from the outside most from the inside. Check to see if there are clips or screws that need to be removed to pull the shield off. Careful if there are screws, they are usually coated to prevent the waves from arcing if you crack or break off the coating you could have problems with the microwave arcing

Ge mircowave message is P F

"PF" means that the power has been interrupted, so you need to set the clock, then the oven should work.

If you actually do have a problem with this oven, it will have to be replaced, since GE does not make repair parts available for it.

Need new light bulb socket for GE spacemaker mircrowave

The bulbs are glued in at the factory. Unplug the microwave and see if you can remove the base of the bulb from the socket with needle nose pliers. You may have to twist the heck out of the bulb base but it should come out. If you do need a new socket it is available at www.geappliances.com under parts and accessories. Or call 1-800-626-2002 for GE factory parts

Change light bulb in Sanyo Microwave EMS6786V

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (and the owner's manual doesn't address it) some disassembly may be required.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there. There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), instead.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover. If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

If you don't have your instructions, please reply back with your brand and model number.

Once it's out of the wall, the outer cover (wrapper) will need to be removed, just as you'll need to do on a counter top model.

On a counter top model, be sure it's unplugged, but otherwise ignore the instructions above this paragraph.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

Countertop kenmore microwave, large, brown, old...whar is model number...I need to manual

Sorry, but you can't get a manual without the model number. You can find help locating your model number here.

If the manual doesn't address how to change the bulb, or you don't see an obvious bulb cover, then you'll have to remove the outer cover.

Be sure to unplug the oven first.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, and a special driver (such as a T20H Torx type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Replacing interior light bulb in m/n 63694

On many recent models, it is necessary to remove the mircowave from the wall, then remove the cover to change the cavity bulb. They suggest that only an authoirzed servider replace them, in order to avoid liability. You can enter your actual, full model number (63694 is not enough) and get helpful exploded view drawings and order parts at http://www3.sears.com (the three is correct). Do not handle the bulbs with bare skin, it will shorten their lives. Use a clean dry cloth or gloves.
