Sure sounds like the torque converter is bad to me. Usually after the fluid gets hot, this problem shows up. Specially since it's in ALL gears......sorry o;(>

I have a 1994 ford explorer sport the transmission in it the revers and the over drive works part time but most of the time they dont work at all 1st 2nd and drive work like they sould . could this be a...

I would check fluid condition and level. Wouldn't hurt to try and get it flushed and a no slip type additive added aswell . Lucas Oil products make a good one. However Ford transmissions in explorers are pretty common for failure.

Ford transmission wines in 1st 2nd 3rd revers, no

It is a 5 speed manual transmission? If it is noisey in all gears except for 4th, then the problem is countershaft bearings.

1998 Dodge caravan AWD transmision slips at full throttle

Have you serviced the transmission latley? fluid, filter, band adjustment

Usually under heavy throttle causing the slip is caused by a seal in the pump leaking off hydraulic pressure letting the clutches slip.

Does it slip in all gears or just 1st.?
Does it slip in reverse?
The reason I ask this is because 1st and reverse use different fluid pathways,

also you can take it to a tranny shop and have them check the fluid pressure at the accumlator port to determine what the exact problem is,but my advice is to just drive it easy and make it last as long as you can,a new or rebuild tranny from a dealer would run 2500 or more.

there is a website www.car-part.com that you can use to find a replacement transmission

My steering wines when turning left or right especially when car is cold gets alittle better when warmed up

Make sure your power steering unit fluid is up to the full mark and no higher when hot, also a belt may be slipping.
