SOURCE: burner not working

Sometimes there is "leak" on the cable - the insulation breaks down some place else some the clicking sound is heard but no lighting. Look to see if the arching is at the electrode beside the burner - if it is then try cleaning the electrode and the areas around the burner so as to give better conduction to thr frame o the stove

Regards

SOURCE: My gas bake burner won't ignite. The igniter is

If the bake ignitor comes on - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. Amperage should be 3 - 3.6A. If less than 3A - replace ignitor.
Ignitor part numbers (any will do, but the first one is a direct replacement): 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
All those are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

Two burners on jenn air counter top make sparking sound but burners won't ignite

turn electricity off to ignitors. remove grates and clean up the burners good, they might have a clogged up hole. gas may not be coming out of burner holes. good-day !! if all else fails, just use a wooden match to light that burner.

Jenn air downdraft cooktop. We had a new Jenn Air

Hi,

This is normal, Jenn Air along with many manufactures use one ignition module for all the burners. So when you turn one knob on all the ignitors on top will spark but gas will only flow to the burner with the knob on.

Here is a copy paste from a Jenn Air Owners Manual, I do not have your model number so I cannot be sure this is the exact phrase in your book.

I hope this helps!

To Set:
1. Push in and turn knob counterclockwise to light the burner.
All surface burners will click. Only the burner that has been
turned on will produce a flame.
2. Turn knob to anywhere between HIGH and LOW. Use the
following chart as a guide when setting heat levels.

Jenn Air Pro Style gas range - ignitors on 2 burners (same side) click but don't light

I had a problem in which only one burner refused to light with the electronic ignition, even though the same ignitor (they are shared) would light the rear burner on the same side, and the problem burner would light with a match. On inspection, the spark occurs at a central point and there is a tube which apparently leads gas from each burner to the ignitor. There are two groupings of 3 holes each on the sloping part of each burner, facing toward the ignitor. After lighting both burners (the front one with a match), I saw that the lower group of 3 holes had tiny flames on the burner that worked properly, but not on the other. I carefully cleaned each of these holes with a small pin, and the problem appears to be solved.
