My camera powershot G2 won't turn on I replaced with new battery still same problem, camera is 2 years old I never had problem and during this two years used only a few times,CF card in camera, lost all the memory when I use this CF card on different camera will freez the camera the battery dies and I have to recharge the battery but on canon G2 this proceture wont work I hope some one can help me.

For the first time since I have dad this camera it will not turn on - I have recharged the battery and used the memory card on my computer. Sometimes, the lower contacts get bent downward after years of use, causing the batteries to ride low in the compartment, and thus making poor contact when the battery door is closed. Try lifting/bending these interior battery contacts upward, so that the batteries ride higher when inserted.
Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't take a picture when the shutter button is pressed, or with an inoperative flash. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:
When you're charging the camera, make sure the power switch is set to OFF. We've run into the same thing- we could plug it in for days, but it won't charge at all if the power switch is on.
I do have the same problem in my camera "canon powershot G2" where I
