First thing is to remove the water from the trough. Pull out the grey standpipe in the back of water trough. Then see if the grid has a good frost pattern. If the frost pattern is NOT even then you need a service call to check the sealed system. If you do have a frost pattern check to see if the water is splashing over or make sure the drain is in the bin drain hole.If water is getting in the bin then the ice can melt as fast as it makes it.Make sure your cleaning with U-line cleaner.

I have a Uline CLR 2160 ice maker. I am trying to

Your display will only show ice or off. There is no temperature settings. Now when I give the directions to put it into clean make sure the green led above the symbols is on steady. If you hold down the on/off key and hit the light key 3 times then release the on/off key last.(give a 1/2 second delay from releasing on/off key. It should go to CL. If led lights dont comeon then let me know.

Ice cubes are hollow, freezing cycle too short. machine is clean, condenser is clean. hOW CAN i INCREASE THE ICE CUBE THICKNESS?

You don't specify a model number, but if it's one of the CLR series (e.g. CLR60, CLR2060, CLR2160) there is a small tan colored adjustable resistor 'dial' on the small circuit board located just beneath the ice bin, behind the front access panel. It should look like a round disk with teeth and has markings on it for -2, -1, 0, 1, 2.... Turn it up to +1 (or if it is already there, up one setting). Stop and restart the ice cycle. Wait 24 hours and see if that's enough or too much, and adjust further based on that. Do NOT adjust more than 1 setting in a day, per the user's manual. (And this information is IN the user's manual, so it's suggested reading.) If you don't have a CLR-series unit, then I don't know.

Uline ice maker clr2060- makes ice continuously, would overflow and ice build up on condenser.

This is a problem when the thermistor in your icebin is not being satisfied. Now there is a break in the serial number to find out if you have a thermistor or a mechanical thermostat. If the serial number is before 03 (first 2 digits is the year)and the 2 digits between the dashes is 11(the month) the replace the bin thermostat. If newer then you need to replace board and thermistors.

Hello mate re mv450

Check the ice thickness sensor for mineral buildup and clean if necessary. I downloaded the service manual from a site in New Zealand. If the Ice thickness sensor is free of scale make sure you are NOT supplying the machine with soft water.

Let me know if this solves your problem. I have been servicing Scotsman Ice Machines for over 38 years in the US. I will try to assist you any way I can. This particular model is not sold in my country.

Clr2060 water freezes but it never dumps the ice.

You might try adjusting the “ice thickness” setting on the control board or you cold have a defective hot gas flow back solenoid. When the machine goes into harvest mode this solenoid activates and allows hot refrigerant gas to flow backwards in the system and melts the ice off the grid and then it falls into the bin.

Ice maker doesn't make enough ice to supply two senior citizens. This is the 2nd refrigerator we have had installed this month. What can we do to increase the amount of ice it puts out. The ice bin has...

Found in the FAQ section on Samsung.com:
Samsung refrigerator freezers produce about 120 cubes per day, which is in line with most manufacturer specifications.
Empty the ice tray and let the unit run for 24 hours.
If fewer than 50 cubes are produced during the 24-hour test, then your refrigerator requires service. Please contact Samsung Service at 1-800-SAMSUNG to schedule a service appointment.
If your freezer is producing 50 to 90 cubes per day, try the following:
  • Set the freezer temperature display to a lower setting. Freezer temperature must be 5 degrees Fahrenheit or less for the ice maker to work properly.
  • Make sure that the water valve on the refrigerator water supply line is completely open. You can find the water valve where the refrigerator water supply line taps into your house water line.
  • If you have a water filter in your refrigerator, change the filter cartridge. For instructions, see your Users Manual.
If you want your freezer to produce more than 120 ice cubes in a day, try the following:
  • An ice maker typically makes 1 tray of ice every 90 minutes. To shorten the amount of time the freezer takes to produce a tray of ice, set the freezer temperature display to a lower setting.
  • If your refrigerator has a Power Freeze function, press the Power Freeze button to speed up the ice making process. In the Power Freeze mode, both the compressor and the freezer fan run for 10 hours continuously. The ice making interval is reduced from 90 minutes to 55 minutes. If the ice bucket fills in less than 10 hours, Power Freeze stops automatically.
NOTE: If you have just installed your refrigerator, it will take 6 to 12 hours for the refrigerator to produce ice.
You should throw away the first three batches of ice cubes that the ice maker produces (approximately 30 cubes) to ensure the ice maker is making ice from clean water.
