How to remove write protection in 4 gb kingston DT 101 II

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I have dt 101 4g usb but when installed to my notebook (windows xp) the windows can not identify and request driver, i need the proper driver to install

Hello Sir, hi, We don't have such a problem with kingston drives the driver is already built-in XP, my guess is that your laptop is infected by a malware type of virus. So have it checked by an Anti malware scanner (We use ad aware, download free from download.cnet.com)

Show less space

Hi khurramrkt,

From the link below, locate your Data Traveler and download a new copy of the security software for it. Use the new copy to access the private zone which is probably where the missing 2GB is at.

Kingston DT 101 II USB Device can't format

Hi mmmail4u2008,

If the drive fails to format, you can try it in other USB ports or a different computer. But if it continues to fail format then it is bad and needs to be replaced.
