Hi

A network operating system (NOS) is a OS that is designed primarily to support systems that are connected on a local area network(LAN). Artisoft's LANtastic, Banyan VINES, Novell's Netware, and Microsoft's LAN Manager are examples of network operating systems.

A network operating system provides printer sharing, common file system and database sharing, application sharing, and the ability to manage a network name directory, security, and other housekeeping aspects of a network.

For more detailed info on Network OS visit the following links:
http://www.comptechdoc.org/independent/networking/guide/netnos.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_operating_system

Google for it nad you will find much more.....

Thanks
Hitesh

Laptop connects to the wireless then after a couple of minutes disconnects and won't reconnect.

If this happens to all of the wireless networks that you are trying to connect to. then it might be an issue with the wireless card or the operating system.

However, if this only happens to one or you haven't notice if it happens to all the wireless networks. What you can do is to delete the wireless profile saved on your laptop and try to reconnect. Also, you may want to try to change your wireless network name on your router.

hope that works. If still not, please provide some more details including the operating system that you are using in order for me to better assist you.
