any display in the corners of channel number av etc ?? if you turn the volume up and down does that show on the display if not likely to be a dead panel
LCD's use a colorful crystal see through display which only visible when light is shining through it. if you have sound and no picture it's always a faulty PSU. Very easy to change out actually.
Sounds like the video board when bad. I would say the TV went defective. Use the 90 day warranty to exchange for a new one.
Always use warranty at this point because the newer TV coming out in these days have very lame warranty.
i used to work on the warantee's for relysis from memory that was a deffo dead un we used to swap out on that fault im pretty certain its a dead processing board . . . sadly relysis uk went bust . . . .
