SOURCE: Samsung 40" lcd - Connecting to PC saying 'MODE NOT SUPPORTED'

First of all, check that the TV is set on PC input when you use PC video input at the back.

Then you may also need to go to video and display properties>>settings, from control panel (personalize on Vista).

There lower down resolution and ensure that frequency is set the same as tv.

SOURCE: HP-T4254 samsung TV turns itself off and on

Try this step before purchasing power supply. I have serviced this tv before. Lay it flat plug it in and it should turn on,but once you sit it up straight it will turn off. I think there are faulty fairchild mosfet transistors or a firmware issue. I put a 1 inch thick book under the stand so it tilts up or down. I have not had a call from any customer since.

SOURCE: vertical black line on Samsung HP-T4254

hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up .good luck hope it works

SOURCE: Samsung LCD TV LN40A550P3F will not support 1080

Hi, is the directv box giving out 1080? There is an option on the box to select between 480, 720, 1080.
Also the tv has the same option.

In hdmi i only get standard picture mode??

Have you tried another source on the HDMI to see if you get the same results? If not then the source for some reason is locking out those modes. If the second source doesn't work then it is a feature not available while using HDMI.

None of my inputs work

Are you using the same HDMI cable with each device? If so it might just be a bad cable. If this isn't the case it may be a system setting which needs to be changed or possibly something requiring tech support.

Television Won't Display Certain Cable Shows

Okay,i assumed this is what you have:
HD cable box with HDMI cable connection to the Samsung TV.
Listen careful as follow:
First you want to make sure using the same HD comcast box with HDMI connection for our Samsung TV as well as your other TV.Be sure the other TV do received the missing channels from the Samsung TV.You must be SURE you have tested both TVs with the same HDMI cable with the SAME HD cable box.
Now that you have confirmed the both TVS are using the same HD comcast box and the same HDMI cable but the connection that goes to the Samsung TV are missing some channels,at this point, use another HDMI connection behind your Samsung TV and see if you have the same problem. If so,please also try the left side of the HDMI connection and see if you could get the other channels.
Let me know!
