This is due to bad caps read here what a cap is www.badcaps.net see you tv is getting hot as normal but the caps cannot stand it any more thus shutting the tv down. The bad caps would be more or less in the power supply unit of this TV. So you can buy a new psu or get it repaired by a expert.

Sharp smart tv shut down by itself after 5 minutes if it rest a long time. Then shut down after some seconds.

Tv used to shut down by itself after 30min when I bought it as used and i opened big holes on tv cover on behind. then the time delayed up to 3 hours.
But now it shut down after 2 seconds if tv rest 10 hours the time is initially 5 min then 1-5 seconds.
I changed 7 pieces capacitors but nothing changed. The power card number is HLL-4255WJ
And it has 12v and 16v output, 12v is always constant. On 16v output, there is 19v when tv standby, when the tv is working it drop to 17volt.
    What is the problem?

SOURCE: My TV shuts itself down by itself

Agreed, one of the problems is power supply problems, also, overheat protection may also be the cause, make sure the internals are dust free, compressed air works wonders, remove the back cover, blow as much of the dust as you can off of the componants, replace the cover, and see what happens...

NOTE: If you are using a home / shop air compressor, make sure to have a vapor filter to remove any moisture from the air lines. water + electronics = BAD

Need remote code for Vizio D32h-CO. No remote for TV. Have Dish remote

For my universal remote control's manual, all of the VIZIO codes are:

11758
13758
12757

Also, remember that you can have the remote scan for codes on its own. On the remote just hold the "TV" control button (should be at the top near the power button) and the power button turns on. Then hold the power button too, and it shuts back off; keep holding until it turns back on and then it will stay on. Then, point the remote at the TV (it should be on) and press the power button every three seconds. It will test a code every two or three seconds. When your TV finally shuts itself off in response, you've got the right code and the remote should work.

Hello,

Turn your TV on by pushing either the power button on the front of the TV or the power button on the remote control, which is located in the upper right corner of the remote.

Step 2

Poer supply is the cause of the shutdown and would need to be replaced. These cost around $150 bucks just in parts the labor you would need to find someone that knows just what there doing or you could wind up into the hundreds, Thanks

MENU SCREEN POPS UP, TV CHANGES CHANNELS, TURNS SOUND DOWN

Yes. Its probably a stuck button on the TV's front panel. Try pushing or wiggling each button on the panel. It could be the channel up/down buttons or volume up/down, menu, etc.

When there is a button that is making slight contact, it keeps the microprocessor busy attending to the command its erroneously receiving from the offending button and may not allow other functions to work when this occurs.

It doesn't matter which button is stuck, any of the symptoms you describe can happen.

UNIT TURNS ON AND RIGHT BACK OFF, KEEPS CYCLING LIKE THIS

I had the exact same problem. Googled and fond someone had gotten the tv to stay on by hitting "enter" on the remote as soon as they saw "AKAI" logo onscreen. That didn't work for me, but it got me holding other buttons down on the remote, all tried no go. So I then decided to tinker with buttons on the tv itself and VOILA! If I hold down the MENU button on the tv, the damn thing works perfectly! Every function still works from the remote too. So I taped the MENU button ON THE TV down, and all is well. After having the tv sit for 6 months, tripping over it during a move... now I have it back and no repair bill. Hope it works for you guys.

No charge... ;)

buy the radio shack "6 in 1" remote. It is absoluetly amazing. picked up all my codes, and actually uses voice commands to step you thru the process. It is the only remote I could find without spending 100 bucks or more that worked for my sylvania, and at only 15 bucko's, you can't beat it.
