DVD is stuck in player. It will not eject.

This is only the second time a DVD has been inserted in the DVD player, but after the TV screen said the DVD loaded and I hit play, nothing happened. So I tried to eject the DVD and it would not push the DVD out. There are two little plastic white pieces at the opening of DVD slot that will not move. Help!

Make sure it is powered on. Press power-on button then try to eject. If not, then press the power-on button and try to eject. If neither works, return to the sore or website where you bought it and ask for replacement.

SOURCE: Red color appear on my Insigna TV

This most likely a problem with the back lights and inverters circuits. The back lights may be receiving low voltages from the inverter circuit causing the led's not to function correctly. This needs to be tested by someone who can check the inverter circuits for correct voltage levels and the backlights for proper functioning. This usually has to be done in a service center.Try this website for Help and possible repair. SOURCE: The DVD player won't work; it spits the the DVD back out

If it is a burnt dvd, it might not play that format. If it isn't, I would take back the tv to where you got it from and get your miney back.

SOURCE: dvd player is playing in black and white on new

could it be the DVD player is european or simply set to output PAL or SECAM and not NTSC?

About the time plasma and LCD TVs started to replace classic CRTs pretty much all CRT TVs used to be able to handle both PAL/SECAM and NTSC.

Then, whether because of the difference in handling them due to switching to fixed display resolution or because of other considerations, less and less LCD and plasma TVs are handling all encodings.

So an older TV could have actually handled the encoding while a newer one lacks it, thus resulting in B/W image.

SOURCE: My husband inserted a dvd

#1 TRY AND UNPLUG THE UNIT. I HOPE YOU DIDNT BUY A TV/DVD COMBO.. THESE ARE WICKED $$$ to have fixed.. if it is never ever use the built in player ever again ! buy a stand alone unit from wamart for a few bucks and if it goes bad they fit well in the trash,.. so if it still isnt responding the back of the tv needs to come off WARNING if you break the screen the tv is junk, so sett it on a good flat spot , remove back, locate dvd player and un plug it from the tv.. this will take it out of the circut and with luck give you back control of the tv..

Is there a way to get the disc out without dismantling the entire TV? Disc is stuck, lock icon shows when eject button is pressed. Can TV be reset to factory specs?

Try the following. kindly update result here in comments

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

A dvd is stuck in my player on my tv and the screen reads no signal. What's happened?

Can't help you on what is wrong with the player but to get the dvd out, look for a small hole near the dvd drawer opening. Use a straightened paper clip or a straight pin and insert into opening. This should release the drawer to eject the dvd.

CD stuck in DVD player in tv

I'm sorry that the disc tray is not ejecting. Please check whether you're able to locate a small hole under the tray opening area. If one available, please insert a pin and it will eject manually now..

CD is stuck inside of a tv/dvd player

Try shutting the television off. With the unit turned off, hold the eject button and turn the unit back on. Continue holding the eject button for 30 seconds or until the DVD comes out.
If this doesn't work, try unplugging the TV for 5 minutes and attempting the above steps.
Hope this helps!

It will not let me insert a disc and when I press the eject button, it sounds like it is going to eject a disc and then it makes a weird noise for 5 seconds. Then, it will say CLOSE for a bit. I got one...

It sounds like you have 2 disks stuck in there. TV repair shop, or try shaking the dvd player lightly while dvd is trying to open. You may need to help open the door, but too much effort could cause harm.

Humax Tivo Stuck on the welcome screen

I just had the same problem with mine and found another post that at least fixed mine.

I had a DVD in the unit as it was restarting. I took a flathead screwdriver and opened up the DVD slot by inserting at the top right corner and opening the door. On the inside, at the bottom right, is a button that ejects the DVD player (the eject button on the outside won't work while it's booting up). I ejected the DVD that was in it, unplugged the unit for 30 seconds, and then it rebooted just fine.

Hope it works out for you too...

Built in dvd player will not let me insert dvd

The LCD/DVD may need a reset. Unplug the unit for 10 sec then plug back in. Instead of power button, push eject button. The blue DVD screen should appear. This worked on my unit which I had for only 2 months. If not call customer service.

Toshiba tv/dvd combo

is there a tiny little hole you can insert a paperclip into around the front of the cd.
if so use a large one if you have it , insert and press hard to eject.
if not then you will need help.
even if you get it out the eject motor belt is likely slipped or broken.
