Also the 160 GB rating is raw data, a fair chunk of that ?missing? space is being consumed by the operating system when it formats the hard drive.

Hi, Was the original 20Gb HD also a SATA or was it installed as an IDE? Try installing a fresh clean Windows rather than the restore disc. However, you will need the drivers for the SATA 160Gb and press F6 when Windows installers ask you to. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. just no other solution except upgrading BIOS properly

1. first u remove all id cable after thatattach only one dvd rom.
2. chack cable ,sata connecter, insert it
3. check jhumper setting
4. power on system n enter bios setup check hdd
5. if u notfind out check auto dectect on n enter
6. this type u solve probleme

Jeff what you have to do is this dont disturb yourself just go straight off the system then later on it and press your key F11 down at a time simultaneously then it will bring the system recovering factory settings for you and follow the instructions then you are through is just that all you have on the system will be gone but you will have your system back alive the way it was manufacture to work BYE THANKS
