Hey mate you need active sync on your pc- it should have installed in the first connection (maybe you got a cd with the HD with it on it or try searching for it) from here you connect up using the usb cable that also goes in your power pack and connect it up and choose active sync on the mobile (if touch is still working) or if not it usually is preset to choose active sync from here it should start syncing all your phone info to microsoft excahnge automatically (i had to set up an excahnge connected it to my hotmail account/uni account) from here next time u say reset your phone (hard reset) or flash it or get a new windows mobile phone (all same software ie samsung omnia and htc touch hd both windows 6.1) it will automatically resync all your contacts onto the phone (as long as its connected on active sync)- hope this helps a bit

My LCD screen is scratch up where can i get a replacement model number - ppc6875e

Here are a few websites that sell replacement LCD's for your phone:
[Note: LCD screen - the glass portion - is typically sold separately from the touchscreen digitizer - the thin layer on top of the LCD enabling touch functions]

Shattered glass. Phone still works fine- I've just used sticky-tape to hold the glass together. Can I replace the screen?

Yes, you can replace it. You can buy a replacement LCD off Ebay, comes with tools for replacement: http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-LCD-Screen-Display-HTC-HD-Wildfire-G8-/310289609552?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item483eb3b350

Touch on touch screen phone not working

Hi, I have the HTC touch from bell. I too had the same problem with my screen. It stopped working completely. The phone is pretty much useless without the touch screen working, there is only 3 buttons on the phone! Can't even dial 911... So I was pretty pissed when the screen stopped working. Like others I searched the internet for answers and didn't really find too much. I found that maybe tapping the four corners of the screen firmly might work, but it didn't. Taking the protective cover off the screen might work, didn't work. I tried updating the ROM, using the official software from HTC website. I was able to update my phone, but my touch screen still didn't work. Someone said something about some copper connections inside the phone, need to be re-adjusted behind the screen or something like that. So I willing opened the phone (only 4 hex screws on the back) and took the front plastic cover off. If you look closely, you'll see the front cover is plugged into the 'motherboard' and you can simply unplug it. I unplug it and plug it back in, do a restart of the phone (take battery out and back in) and still nothing, screen doesn't work.
I noticed that on the front cover of the phone (underneath) you can see the copper band of wires that connect to the buttons and probably feeds the information from the touch screen to the 'computer'. I accidentally unplugged the wire (thought I broke it) but was able to insert it back in. I put the the cover back on, put the battery in, power up phone, BINGO! Touch screen works! What I did to make it work? Not sure...
But for people with the same problem. Try this:
1) update ROM

2) Unplug and plug back in that little wire.

Its the red circle I'm talking about.

Does HTC Touch HD have same issue as my TyTN II?

it's right, during a phone call in HTC HD, the screen may shut down but you can easely turt it on again by presseing the on/ off botton once.

for touch pro, am not sure but it seems to be the version came after HTC HD, so all the problems in HTC HD should be solven in Touch pro.
