SOURCE: Samsung DLP HL-P5063W. . .no lamp!

Remove the rear cover and check the lamp cover switch. Earlier versions used a black plastic switch holder that may break due to improper assembly. The part number for the holder is BP61-01240A. Newer versions use a metal tab attached to the engine. In this case, improper assembly may cause the lamp cover switch to be extended past its range, either breaking the switch or causing it to have an open contact. Replace the switch with BP91-01231A.

Note that in these models, when reinstalling the rear cover, it is best to remove the lamp cover first, install the rear cover, then install the lamp cover. This will make sure that the lamp switch is properly engaged.

SOURCE: Samsung DLP HL-R5667W lamp won't fire. Changed

Was the replacement lamp the same part number as the original as there are different arc gaps for different lamps and the wrong arc gap will cause the lamp not to light. Since the ballast is powering up the lamp should light if the baalast is matched to the correct arc gap of the lamp being used.

SOURCE: TV wont turn on

a bad power supply is most likely cause of this. Other possible cause is bad main circuit board.

Problem concerns Samsung HL-S5087W. All of a sudden, TV goes through 3 startup cycles and shuts down resulting in 3 blinking lights on front panel. What I've done: Completely cleaned inside of...

Hi,

3 blinking led light at the front panel is an error code for lamp malfunction. If you've already replaced the bulb and yet the symptoms remain the same, then high chance that the fault came from the ballast board because the supply voltage is present.

Confirm if the bulb will lit upon powering on the unit. Open the lamp cover, bypass the lamp cover switch by putting tape to make it in closed position (making it still the lamp cover is attached to the housing) and then power on the unit. Check if the bulb will ignite or will light up, if not, you have to replaced the ballast board.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

Mitsubishi 52525 TV Red Lamp LED

340v should be on power pwb plug PL on the 1 and
5 (GND) pins for the ballast. and the ballast plug CN should also have the 340V with pin 1 of that plug being GND nd pin 3 should have the 340V If the PL plug on the power board is low the power pwb has a problem most likely the doubler circuit. If CN plug voltage is high say 360V the ballast is suspect.

Samsung hlr5667w that won't turn on. Good lamp and ballast

Any light blink on the front. Whats the voltage to the ballast from the power supply. Common problem on these sets are bad lamp door switch. Try shorting the switch. Color wheel also is problematic but usually will be noisy and cause shut down. Check power board for swollen capacitors. Hope this helps

Samsung hln4365w no powerup flashing lamp & temp. can i repair myself & where do i get parts?????

There should be a lamp code sticker on the left side of the tv.bp96-00224c or bp96-oo224a are the part #'s for the 2 lamps used on this set,but you need the right one or it will blow prematurely because of 2 different ballasts used.

TV will not power on, strange arcing and poping noise from rear

Even though the Lamp looks good it does not mean that it is. The only way to know is to relace it. If you have already replaced it with a Mitsubishi Lamp Assy. then the Ballast board would probably be the cause.
Hope this helps,

Samsung HLP 4663W DLP TV

If you have already replaced the lamp and ballast, to no avail, then it is time to take it in to a certified repair center.  Most will charge a nominal diagnostic fee.  My 61" did the same thing and it turned out to be the Light Engine (of which the DMD Board is a part).
If the problem were the color wheel, the lamp would come on for a bit until the color wheel sync couldn't be achieved and then it would turn off.  The all-3-flashing-lights problem is the lamp.  Here is a page from the service manual on the 3 blinking lights problem.
The Light Engine controls the ballast via a separate signal than the 320 Volts.  The voltage reading means that the Power Board is working properly.
