Presario v2000 notebook problem

My screen is black the pc start but the screen is black and u can see some words but it ain't functional..is there any lamp inside the monitor??

Put another monitor and go to the display settings settings advanced and there u can configure display settings if it wont work so just change the monitor

This most often means you have a bad cpu or motherboard. When the bios does its post checks it looks for issues and will shut the pc down if all the devices are not funtioning correctly or the CPU reaches critical heat.
