Dear Sir,
Recently I decided to build a brand new system for a friend. I bought a DFI LANPARTY JR 790GX-M2RS motherboard and 2 dimms of memory of KINGSTON KHX6400D2LLK2/2G HYPERX 2GB, which according to Kingston's site (http://www.kingston.com/HyperX/products/khx_ddr2.asp) is 2GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC
Low-Latency CL4 (kit of 2), 4-4-4-12, 2.0V. I also used Windows 7 as my operating system.
The problem is that the memories are being recognized as DDR2 PC5300 at 333Mhz, after checking with CPUid, Lavalys Everest and SIW and even though I have tried manually to force bios to acknowledge the dimms as such, Windows refuse to recognize them as PC6400 of 800Mhz. Should I feel ok nevertheless, thinking that the software might be the problem after all?

First of all I have to say that I'm astonished by the fast response. Thank you very much for taking the trouble to participate.
It would be a bit of a problem to try another OS at this point. My friend already utilizes the system and made the necessary software arrangements for his work. regardless the memory issue.
I would be grateful if you could take a better look at the 2nd and 3rd page of the .pdf manual I provided you with and make some suggestions according to the specific kind of memory. I checked the technical specifications of the latter through Kingston's site http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX64... , but I was a bit confused with this comment:
"Each module pair has been tested to run at DDR2 800MHz at low latency timing of 4-4-4-12 at 2.0V. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard latency 667MHz timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V."
The DRAM Voltage Control is 1.950V by default in the motherboard and the latency timing was 5-5-5-12 on the auto (SPD). I think that I have already tried changing it to 4-4-4-12 at 2.0V manually, but let's say I have been mistaken...should I use this option rathen than the 5-5-5-15 one?

If the BIOS does not identify the memory correctly, Windows will not identify it correctly either. Your operating system gets the information from the motherboard.
If you have tried all the settings available in the BIOS, I would try the memory in another system. Most likely thing to work is resetting the CMOS back to failsafe defaults (hold the INSERT key while powering on the system as described on page 12 of the manual you provided.)
