SJAK00's solution is exactly right but here is more detail if you're like me and need step-by-step detail on how to find these tabs: Go to Control Panel and Open Printers and Faxes.
For the first setting change: Right click the printer you want to set the default printing preferences on. Click on Printing Preferences, then on the Advanced Tab the Printer Preferences will list Mirror Image, which probably says: "On"--click on this and choose "Off", then save the setting by pressing OK.
For the second setting change: Open the printer settings by double clicking on the computer in question. The printer screen (the one that shows the jobs in process) will come up and at the top click on Printer. Go again to Printing Preferences, and again switch the Mirror Image desigantion from "On" to "Off" and save it.
This worked for me. Jan

SOURCE: hp officejet 6500 setting for mirror image print?

I have a 6500 wireless All-In-One also. After calling HP for support help, like yours. I think I finally struck a nerve with the RIGHT people. Since then HP has been sending me these Routine and Critical Updates that help your printer work/perform better. Register your 6500 with HP and make sure you click any/all spaces in order to recieve these. Also go to the website and look for something called "HP Solution Center"." I was able to download and install it as a shortcut to my desktop. I use it all the time. Good Luck.

Is it possible to print your images with Mirror image setting with an HP officejet J6410 All-in-One?

Printers don't generally do that, but virtually all image editing programs do.. Load the image in a program, edit - flip horiz, and you should be able to print it from there in mirror image

Print mirror image gel printer GX700

The mirror image setting is in the printer properties/ printing preferences. You can either go to control panel/printers/properties, or when you press print, and the window pops up, in printing preferences you can choose the mirror image setting.

How print iron on transfers

Yes, you need to "MIRROR" the image. Go to printer properties and select the ADVANCED TAB. Click on the MIRROR setting then print onto the transfer paper. The image should print out backwards like you are looking at it in a mirror. When you iron it onto a shirt, it will come out correct.

Printer is printing job as a mirror image

go into the properties setting for the printer, go to advanced tab, then to the prinint defaults button on that tab. When you click on that - if you go to the advanced tab within there, you will see "mirror image" and i bet it says "ON" - click on the word mirror and it opens up the ability to set this back to off. Hope that helps!

Printing Backwards

You must have the Mirror image option turned on.

Open a document and select File>Print.

When the Print window opens, select the "Preferences" or "Properties". button.

Click on the Advanced tab. Look for the Mirror Image option. If it says "On", click on it and you will get a drop down menu to change it to "Off".

(BTW, the Mirror Image is used for printing iron-on transfers.)
