I've figured out a solution so hopefully someone else with the same problem wont have to go thru my pain. I tried everything and tried the codes from the SphA900.

##000000# and it will give you an option to edit or view. hit enter and change the MSID number to your phone number. I did that and It enabled the flashed Samsung A740 onto the cricket system. I can make and rec calls now. when you go to settings and phone info the number should show up

Ok,(i don't want to sound to smartphone ignorant,,) however, where do I find/and or enter the ##000000# to change the msid?

Lost my cricket phone for 6 months. Just found it and want to restart services but can't reach Cricket either through *611 or the 800 number? What should I do to restart my services?

This is actually one of the MANY reasons I left Cricket. Before I left, I actually tried calling them for 4 days. Nothing.
Sometimes, they actually disconnect or turn off customer "service". It doesn't matter what you do, you won't reach them until they decide to "answer" again. I do not know if this is in specific markets or what. I just know they do it.

If you haven't already (or switched companies), you'll have to go to a Cricket or authorized dealer store, preferably a "corporate" store, to get your service back on.

I want to flash a metropcs phone to cricket

Flash or Flashing--Technically, flashing refers to the overwriting or re-writing of the phone's firmware. There are many phones which can be flashed to cricket with all features working. On most CDMA phones, programming the phone can be done "over the air" by dialing a special code, usually *228 or some variation. Colloquially speaking, flashing can also loosely mean making a phone from one carrier work on another carrier. The easy way to tell the difference is that if your phone does NOT take a SIM card, then it is probably CDMA.

To flash a phone to cricket you will be overwriting th phones firmware. The firmware is software in the phone that doesn't change when you turn it off, and it cannot be deleted unless it is overwritten, hence flashed. It requires specific files called prl files.PRL or PRL File--Short for Preferred Roaming List--A small text file containing instructions for how a phone connects to a specific network's radio towers It is usually loaded by connecting the phone to a computer to overwrite its data. There are a few tools used such as a pst PST--Short for Phone Service Tool or Tools--Special software used by phone manufacturers to program their phones. And also a monster file - -"Monster File"/"Monster Pack", ROM, or "Kitchen"--System software that is needed to flash a phone.

In almost all case you will need to access the phones service programming menu- - -Service Programming Menu--A special menu typically hidden from the primary User Interface that allows for "deep programming" of a phone. You will also need access to msl and spc codes specific to the device you are flashing.MSL/SPC--Special six-digit codes needed to access service programming features on the phone. Access to the service programming menu can be disabled in a phone's firmware.

Depending on your phone, it may require extra steps to unlock or get WAP and MMS working. That is why you need the msl/spc codes to allow deep programming to unlock these features. Not all phones will be capable to access wap or send and receive mms.

Ringtones generally have to be prepaid using a flex bucket. It is best to download ringtones before you flash your phone to cricket since they have a limited selection of ringtones and wallpapers. There are cases were flashed phones will not be able to download ringtones directly from cricket.

The details outlined above will not only work with cricket but you can also flash phones to metro pcs using the information provided above. It is best to do all your research before purchasing your phone to ensure that the cell phone you are interested in can be flashed to cricket or metro PCs

I have the sanyo kyocera zio and it won't turn on at all. It just shut down by itself.

Hi Penn,

My name is Ryan and I work on behalf of Cricket. Does this happen while charging the phone via power outlet? Be sure that the battery is fully charged and please try removing battery and with a clean smooth cloth, wipe the battery connection points on the battery and back of cell phone device. Replace and turn back on. If you continue to experience issues, please visit a full service corp. Cricket store location for hands and assistance.

Best,

Its flashed to cricket from cellular south and the internet isnt working

There are a few things that could be wrong with it.

1. It is not properly flashed or the "flash" has been wiped out somehow. Take it back to whoever flashed it and see if they will fix it. If your picture text also is not working this is most likely the case

2. It is not properly programmed in the ##000000 settings. Dial ##000000 and scroll down, make sure the email-like address is [email protected] and enter cricket as the password.

3. It is not properly provisioned. Call 1-800-CRICKET (*611 from cricket phones) and ask them to "Provision and Refresh" your internet.

Unfortunately cricket cannot guarentee the features on flashed phones as it is not their technology.

How do I get adobe flash for my cricket smartphone sanyo kyocera

Hi Awakenthedea,

My name is Ryan and I work on behalf of Cricket Wireless. The Sanyo Zio currently does not support flash with the current 1.6 Android OS. With the new 2.2 update, coming soon, the new OS allows users the ability to view flash material and games with the additional installation of Adobe Flash Player application found on Adobe's mobile website.

How do i convert alltel razor to cricket wireless

I also have a razor, and my phone company is cricket. When some one wants to change service to another company, sometimes the company they are switching to can "flash" the phone with the companys particular software, thus making it function with the new service. However, Im not sure if cricket has the capabilites to do this. Personally, ive been using cricket for close to five years, and I can honestly say that in means of customer service and quality, cricket is not the way to go. Im personally planning on switching to Verizon or Sprint soon and just buying a new phone altogether due to the lack of quality the phone and the service from cricket provides. Ive gone through several phones from cricket, and they were all fairly shabby. As a rule, DONT buy a Kyocera phone from cricket, they are cheap and not meant to last.
