HOLD THE “SKIP” BUTTON DOWN (RIGHT ARROW) FOR 2 SECONDS AND YOU WILL HEAR A BEEP AND THE AUTOMATED VOICE SAY “ENGLISH”. IT’S FIXED!
The "Spanish" answering machine almost drove my 85 year old mother insane.

On the GE models believe itor not extremely simple: press and hold the "skip" button on the base until desired language is spoken. Had the same problem and after searching the web and being on hold for 45 minutes, I could't believe how easy the answer was!

Press and Hold the Skip button on the base of the Answering Machine, for two seconds.... TA DAH!! all better!!
