Assign the contact to a group. You can then set a different ringer tone for the group. Start with the phone system in standby. To change the ringer tone for a group, press Phone Book on a handset. Select Menu. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to highlight a group, press Select. Navigate to Current Group Ringer Tone and press Select. Use the arrow keys to highlight a new Group Ringer Tone and press the soft key for Save. (See page 38 of the manual). To ad a contact to a group, you need to edit that contact. Press the phone book button and select Menu. Select a contact and press Select. Edit the contact name and number and press OK after each edit if needed. Otherwise press OK twice. Use the Up/Down arrows to select a group. Press Select twice to confirm the change. Press Off when done. (See page 39 of the manual.)
Ringtones can be set for the whole phone in Settings-->Sounds-->Ringtone.
You can set a ringtone for each of your contacts by editing the contact in the Phone app or the Contacts app. When you touch the "Edit" button when viewing any individual contact, you can assign a specific ringtone and vibration, and text tone and vibration, to that contact.
Here's how you can change the ringtone/ message tone:
Go to Menu
Settings
Phone profiles
Edit Profile Name (this will be dependent on the profile that you'll use)
Go to the right "New Messages"
If you want them to be personalized per contact, you will need to access the phone book, go to the specific contact then personalize the message tone or ringing tone
To change the ring tone, press Home > Menu, then tap Settings. Tap Sound & display > Phone ringtone. Tap the ring tone you want to use, then tap OK. The ring tone briefly plays when selected.

i do not know anything about your specific phone but usually to set a certain, selected ringtone to a specific person. all you have to do is go to your contacts then edit the contact and if it doesn't give you the option there then go to your setting or options and go to your contacts and do it there. hope this helped :D
1) you must go to the phone book, highlight the wanted contact, click on options and then edit. 2) scroll down until you see the section "ringtone" and click on it. 3) Then choose audio, then ringtones. click on the ringtone you want, you must listen to it first, and then click on "select". 4) if you want a ringtone to be something you've recorded, click on "my voice" rather than "ringtones"
Are your contacts off the SIM? You cannot assign a ringtone to a SIM contact that is different than your general ringtone. If it is a SIM contact save it to your phone then you should be able to assign a distinct ringtone.
i did and all the txt tones are the same, wht should i do now?
