The cold water tricles out but the hot water is normal. I checked the fill hose and checked the inlet valve screen and it was clean. What is my next step to do? Thx
Hi, If there is good pressure to the valve and the screens inside the valve are clean, you will need to replace the inlet valve. Please let me know if I can assist you further with part# or how to replace the valve.

Hi, some users install those horrible quick-connect hose connectors to water pipes, they tend to cut a very small hole, that corrodes over. This will give the exact symptoms you are getting. Also, the flexible inlet hose, if it is kinked/collapsed internally, you can get this. To check this, turn the inlet supply valve OFF, unscrew the flexible inlet pipe from the back of the machine, and hold over a bucket, and turn on the valve. If is trickles, then it has to be either the flexible pipe, or the valve blocked (and NOT the parts inside your machine at all)! Hope This helps, Tony Davis, of LETSFIXIT.
If there is no other restriction, the water should flow freely from the hose into a bucket as a test. If good, then it must be a restriction in the solenoid valve. Some can be disassembled and cleaned but the valve assembly is not expensive to replace.
Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small metal screens inside the valve (especially the hot water side) and check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid. Here is a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.
your hot water goes through the water heater so contaminates settle in the heater. the cold does not, there is a screen inside the fill valve where the hose hooks to the valve on the machine. if this in not plugged then the fill valve will have to be replaced. because of the build up of contaminates..
Hi, You need to remove the fill hose and see what is plugging the inlet valve screen. This should make a guge difference.
Please let me knwo ig I can assist you further.
where your water lines connect there is a sc reen inside and if it is clogged with rust lime and or mineral deposit. it needs cleaned out. you can pull it out with a ice pick or something pointy. Check your screen first and if that doesn't fix ya then yes replace the unit.
1. Turn off the water supply to both hoses. 2. Remove hoses (one at a time so you don't get them confused) 3. On the washer side - look for a removeable screen inside wher you just removed the hose. 4. Using a small screwdriver - pop out the screen and reverse-flush it/clean it. It will likely be full of sediment and calcium deposits from your pipes. 5. Replace the inlet screens. 6. Re-fit the hose to the machine. 7. Turn on water supply valves. 8. re-try.

turn off water valves at wall, disconnect the supply hoses from the washer. where the hoses connect to the washer, there is usually a stainless steel screen/strainer inline on both the hot and cold inlet. corrosion on the cold side is pretty common. Menards, Lowes Home Depot stores sell the replacment screeens.
If both solenoid coils check the same, you probably have a clogged supply hose. Check that the filter screens inside the hose (if present) and the fill valve inlet are clear of mineral buildup. Try switching the hot and cold supply lines to see if the trouble moves from cold to hot. If the cold still only trickles in, replace the fill valve.
