How do I reset? It has digital display and nothing lights up, but there is a dull humming noise when plugged in. The panel states that there is a manual reset, but I have not been able to locate. Model PTH123B25AE MFG No 1248844R and Serial No 0405718229

If it's humming when something is plugged into the input, but not when nothing is plugged in, it's most likely the cable. If it hums when nothing is plugged in, the amp is defective and you need to return/exchange it.

you did not give model number, but on some you can unplug washer then hold down power button while plugging it back into power and that will reset the control panel. worth trying. good luck.

Does it work the way it should besides the hum?

see the block diagram attached. Unplugeed the machine, and tight every connector going to the display panel. Starting by ribbon cable inside from display board.
2) Reset the machine see your instr. manual for to see where is located the r. button.
3) Test the fuse inside the machine and replace if necessary.
4) Test the REED switch, see the diagram attached, test if for open or defective, clean it, and tight very well the connector, and Try again.

Power steering pump noise is likely the cause.

If the transformer does not produce a "hum" the power is either not reaching the rectifiers or the rectifiers have died . Not likely if the machine was running last time prior to being put away. Try physically advancing the tread/belt to set the motor to a different contact starting point since corrosion (ambient humidity) may have dulled the motor contacts(brushes).

try the cancel button it will drain the water and release the lock

does the hum occur when playing a dvd or only when watching tv ? if the hum occurs only when watching tv, i would like you to disconnect the cable line from either the wall or the back of the cable box and see if this hum disappears. if the hum disappears call your cable company. you have what is called a " 60 cycle ground loop ". hope this helps.

I left the unit unplugged over night, plugged it back in the next day and still had the same problem.
