The computer won't log me on.

I turn my laptop on as usual, then it asks me for my password. I put it in then it says: The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. I tried restarting it and i shut it down but it still wouldn't load. Please can you tell me a solution as soon as possible?

Could be an idea to log on as Admin. with correct Password. If you've forgot your User or Guest Profile details these can be updated. Go to Control Panel. Then to User Accounts.

Hope that you've not lost your Password though you could find this in order to log on your computer.

Make a backup copy of all your data, including passwords, emails, settings, etc

Find another windows xp computer whether its a friends or another computer you have and get a memory stick or external hard drive ( which you will need ) on the working computer go into

c:\documents and settings

make a copy of the default user folder and copy that over the one on your laptop and try again.

I rebooted my system in 'safe mode' (which allowed me to login as
administrator), moved my files to the public area, and then deleted my
profile (using the Users option in Control Panel).

When I rebooted again, in normal mode, I could login as administrator, and
then moved my files back and rebuilt my profile manually.

The only problem was my forgetting about e-mail messages, which I did not
backup and have been lost permanently. Ug!!!

I can not log on after putting the correct pass-word in. it says the user profile service failed the log on. why? What can I do?

Are there more accounts in this computer? Try to log with another one. If not you must reset your password try with nt offline password reset http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ you must boot from a cd or usb and follow the instructions in this page but first try to make a backup of your important data, you can use a cd with ubuntu or other livecd OS to copy all you need to an external usb disk. All this will work easily if don't have encrypted your system.

Asus k53u accepts password then comes up the user profile service service failed the logon user profile cannot be loaded How can I get round tis problem ?

Start in Safe Mode and then do a system restore back to a date when it was ok. If that fixes it, immediately create a new restore point and name it Profile OK. (Just in case you get it again) This fault has been occurring for months now and usually after an MS critical update! Good backup strategy is paramount.

Someone used my computer and did not log out.

Hello Barbara,

You can use following options.

Option 1: Easy One
Press and hold the power button between 5 to 7 seconds
This will turn off the laptop
wait for 20 sec after shutting down
Start laptop again
Laptop is ready to use.

Option 2: Moderate one
Remove the power cord from laptop
take the battery out
put the battery back
start your computer

Option 3: Difficult one
At this point I am not sure which Windows are you using and how do you usually log-in to the system.
I am guessing you got a new laptop, with Windows 7 installed.

The computer might asking you to press Clt + Alt+ Del to unlock the computer.
You can also see there is small button on screen which says "Switch User"
click on "Switch User" button
It will then ask your user name and password
Use your username and password the one you usually use to log-in to the system.
once you are logged in
restart the computer
it might ask you "other users are log-in do you wana continue"
press enter
the computer will restart and now you can use it as normal as before.

Hope these options might help

Thank you

I lock my computer a for got the pass code.

Hello,

If You are using a windows XP, the solution is for You to turn on the laptop allow it booth, once it gets to the log in page, press the ctrl+alt+delete button, then a page will come up, You will have the page where You will have to enter the user name and the password, just type Administrator in the user name and leave the password blank and press enter or log in, it will log in for You, there You can access the user profile and change the password through the control panel.

If You are using the windows vista, then when You get to the log in page, then You press the control+alt+delete button, then You select start new task, then the computer will log in with a neutral profile, after it has one that, then You can go to the control panel and change the password for the user profile You used to lock the password.

Hope this helped.

User profile service failed the logon, user profile cannot be loaded.if i log in my pasword in opening my computer..

Restart, and press the F8 key.
This way you'll access the SAFE MODE.
Click on the ADMINISTRATOR account.
Usually there will be no password, so you can get to the Desktop, and erase your user password.
Then simply reboot and let it complete the cycle.
